I bought a Farberware blender at Walmart for $20. Works great. It has 2 different sized cups.

Eat Protein first, until you feel full. No carbs, no grains.Hi all!!!
I have not been on in a few months. I will be 2 years post op on July 2nd. I was doing well there for a while up until about a month ago. I just seem that I am not motivated any more. I am starting to become addicted to food again and become an emotional eater again. I do not want that. I am trying to get my Water in but not getting as much as I should. I have become lazy. I have gained about 16 lbs. It does not seem like much but my clothes are starting to get tight on my again.
Anyone have any suggestions? I belong to Kaiser Permanente now but did not have the surgery with them. Do you think that going to a support group may help me? I will never let my self get as big or even close to what I use to be. I wear a size 10-12 right now but before gaining that 16lbs I was an 8-10. Just need a little bit of encouragement or advise please.
Thank you all and have a very blessed night.

Clear liquids, anything you can see through. Full liquids, all other liquids.
Even that isn't a reliable source as many of the surgeons who require such diets will vary the requirement for different patients.
Everyone's preop is different (unless you know someone who has your surgeon).I'm trying to locate what is actually allowed on the preop liquid diet. Can anyone share this with me?

Yes, check with your surgeon's team as only they can tell you what they want. Such diets can vary from only clear liquids to "full" liquids (whatever "full" is) to some compromise plan of liquids for some meals and some form of healthy real food for other meals to no particular requirement at all. My doc's plan, for instance, was for clear liquids (including Jello and the like) the day before surgery.

They do make cup holders for saddles. They are awesome.Play with the temp of your liquids. Early on I preferred hot or room temp. Now I much prefer lots of ice.
Try different flavorings- I like some of the Mio ones. Early on I used Decaf tea mixed with herbal tea for different flavors. I sometimes drink Chick Fil-A diet lemonade that I Water down. I cannot get myself to drink much plain Water.
For me I can only get in enough liquids in if I use a straw. I know this is against most surgeon's programs but I have never had in issue. I have read many people on this board say they use straws.
It can be very hard to get in your liquids early on. It gets easier. I now drink 80-90 oz a day. I am never without a double walled cup with a straw unless I am riding my horse. No cup holder there.

The liver is not on top of the stomach, they are on opposite sides of the body, but if it is a fatty liver, it can be rather large and get in the way of surgery. My surgeon said if it is too large and in the way, it can be too risky to proceed with surgery. The liver can tear easily.

Your friend is probably afraid that you will change after and not be her fat buddy any more. She needs to change. If she will not support you, you may need to distance yourself. Your health is more important.

Ask your Nutritionist questions and them repeat the answer as many times and in different ways as you need to understand it.

What can I expect at my psych evaluation? What are they looking for? Anything I should or shouldn't say?
