RoseGoldHeart got a reaction from FluffyChix in 5 years post op & I’m scared
    FluffyChix,
    Thank you so much.
Yes, my Sleeve still works and gets restriction to food. As far as the fatty liver, it is Non-Alcoholic.
I know without a doubt that I have a Vitamin deficiency, and wanted to keep taking my Vitamins until I can schedule an appointment to meet with the Doc. I just am not sure how long I should wait??
At the present time, I'm taking the optisource Post Bariatric Surgery chewable tablets (& I absolutely hate them), but I force myself. I'm looking to make the switch to perhaps a 1 a day capsule (BariatricPal 1 a day Multi-vitamin).

    Hi everyone,
I just feel the need to vent and maybe you won’t be so hard on me. I’ll take all the advice you got. I am 5 years post op Vertical Gastric Sleeve (lost over 110 pounds, kept it off) but have come across a dilemma. A lot of it is my fault. During this time period I had not been taking my Vitamins not until the beginning of this year (Chewable 4 times a day.) The excuse for this was because I couldn’t down so many pills, but after doing research there are alternatives I KNOW THIS NOW. Towards the end of the year, I started having Gallstone Attacks. They were so severe, that I ended up getting my entire Gallbladder removed (last week). I’m recovering well, just a bit sore.
From what one of the nurses told me before the surgery that my BMI is at 50 and I have fatty liver. For me, I feel like, I’m sabotaging myself and I want to make things right.
Am I the only one that has gone through this? And if so, how did you recover or are now recovering?
    Love,
    RoseGoldHeart

Hi friends! My name is Jacqui, and I had surgery on 3/14/18. I was doing well with my Vitamins until surgery. Now they make me terribly sick, sometimes to the point of throwing up. My doctor says to take them with yogurt, like crush them up in it, but I can't eat enough yogurt to get the whole Multivitamin and I'm still sick afterward. Does anyone have experience with these? Or an alternative Vitamin regimen? I would like to keep these ideally as they are the ones covered by my insurance. For reference, I take two multi in the morning, two Calcium around 10 am, two more calcium around 4:30 pm and Iron around 7 or 8. The multi and the iron are the worst.

I also can't take most multi's or Calcium because they upset my stomach. My surgeons PA has the same issue and recommended to me Whole Foods Prenatal Multi's, which is what she takes. The bad news is, it's 3/day, but they don't bother my stomach at all. I but them on Amazon. For calcium, I take the BariMelts found on this site, with no problem.

Thank you! I'll try those out, I never thought of using Pre-natal vitamins! As long as I don't feel sick I don't care how many tablets or pills I take. lol. I really appreciate it!
