Thank you Fluffernut! I've had exactly the same questions. I'm 2 weeks post-op and have had NO problems whatsoever with food and Water.

I realize it's a numbers thing for so many, but it doesn't have to be. I keep thinking about that saying "If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten". In the past I was obsessed with the scale and the weight. And I made myself crazy. Now, I'm trying to do something different. First was surgery, now I'm "judging" my body by how I FEEL instead of what I see on the scale. I feel better. I'm 2 weeks and 2 days post-op. Including my pre-op liquid diet, I'm down 25 lbs, I think. I actually forgot to weigh yesterday and today! That's never happened. But my clothes already fit better and I don't feel so bloated and miserable. I'm choosing to see victories in a different way now. It's no longer about just the number on the scale. I'm already going to have to dig out my smaller bras and underwear. That is bizarre to me that it's happened so soon. I am walking alot and I feel really good. I'm having no issues with food or Water, or swallowing, or GERD, thank God. I'm choosing to be grateful I was able to have this surgery now, just months before my 50th birthday. I'm ready to be FABULOUS and FIFTY, regardless of what number is on my scale. Please try to look at it through a new pair of eyes. Make different choices and decisions....not just about what's going in your mouth, but also about what's going on in your heart and in your mind. Good luck!
