  1. Just had my gall bladder out after the third week of my gastric bypass. My big issues is not being able to hold down my Protein drinks. I can handle general protein, but every drink I try makes me ill. Frustrated as I want to succeed and have been but know I need more protein than the 50 I am receiving a day. Any help would be appreciated
  2. That is awesome. I am happy that I have lost 29 pounds since I had my surgery 15 days ago.
  3. I had the surgery on the 8th of October and now I am on soft foods like cottage cheese, greek yogurt, broth, and of course Protein shakes and Water. I am hoping to add tuna and eggs in the very near future.
  4. I don't drink 30 minutes before I eat or 30 minutes afterwords. Just something I know that will help me overall and has worked well so far.
  5. I am ten days out from RNY and have three Protein shakes a day which comes to 600 carlories and 70 grams of protein My doctor wants another 5 grams of protein at least. I have been eating cottage cheese or yogurt about half a cup a day. It is another 50 calories. I also drink 48 oz. of Water a day and have a cup of broth as well. Am I eating to much? I will say my blood sugars have been really good with a fifth of the medicine I used to take, I have morning sugars of 100-120 since I have gotten home from the surgery. Sorry to babble, just want to do well and not fail once again.
  6. Where did you find those little whey bullets? I am interested for sure
  7. Did you have the bypass, sleeve or the lap band?
  8. What have you've been able to eat? I am still two weeks away I think from food. How long are you out from surgery?
  9. Have you taken it with crystal light as that helps a lot
  10. Do you have chewables? They go down well. Congrats on your surgery
  11. Thanks for the info, as I needed it
  12. Nothing wrong with you. Sometimes it just takes one's body longer to adjust. If it keeps up, call your surgeon. Hope things get better soon
  13. I have found nothing for the gassiness as of yet either. Just something I need to get used to while my body adjust to the new plumbing Good luck to all in their journey
  14. Sipping stinks but you have to do it many times an hour every hour. Flavor water helped me, maybe it will help you as well.
  15. Good to hear as I was worried about you. This is the start of our lives changing for the better :-)
  16. Sorry to hear that but there are a lot of folks who will listen and talk to you on here. I have a good support group at home and on here. Keep sipping flavored Water as it helps. I have work next Friday but I think I am going to postpone it another week to make sure I am okay
  17. Shakes will take time. I am suppose to have three a day, but two is my max and that is with 4 oz of water with the protein mix.
  18. I am home as of this afternoon. I am sore, but the gassiness and slight stomack pain is my biggest complaint so far. Stinks you can't have Protein yet, but broth is awesome and has some flavor unlike Water
  19. Yes I am gassy, but I can deal with that. So for I have no nauseous issues at the this time. I have had two Protein shakes, Water, an broth Did the doctor give you medicine for your nausea?
  20. I made it though as well. Two days out drinking crystal light and had broth for the first time. I am sore, but that was to be expected/
  21. I am looking forward to hearing from you in a day or two. I will post how I am doing as soon as I can. Just remember your going to rock it tomorrow
  22. Your going to do great! Saying a prayer for you
  23. I am freaking some as well. Just trying to remember that this is what I need for a healthier life
  24. My surgery is for tomorrow at 11:40 am. Tomorrow night my life a few others will be changed forever. May God bless all of you in your continuing process.
