  1. I left my 1st follow up visit & went right home to make soft boiled eggs. They were SO good. For about 10 days, then I was sick of them. Ha ha.
  2. Everyone is different. Just because a food is on the lust doesn't mean your system will tolerate it. I'm 6 weeks out and mostly still on soft foods. It feels like I will never eat out again! My husband had RNY 2 yes ago & he had to go back to liquids approximately 5 times as he tried to progress to real foods. If your goal is pizza or salad, you might be waiting a while. Maybe set more realistic goals for yourself to keep from being frustrated.

    Chewable vitamin! YUK!

I stopped chewing after about 4 weeks and switched to regular swallow vitamins. I was using the Unjury chewables - awful!
  4. Devint, thank you so much for your insights! Your explanation (or, your Dr's.) helps things make much more sense now. And it explains why it can go on for days, because as it persists I lose all will to eat. Sometimes just one yogurt in an entire day - I know it's not healthy but, like you said, I lose the will to fight. I begin to spiral into "what have I done to myself? I will never feel well again." I will try harder to keep on an eating schedule. I am so afraid of food right now, but I guess if I'm going to have diarrhea anyway, I might as well start trying some new foods! You've really encouraged me. And, like you, boy I REALLY hope this is short-lived. I keep reminding myself I had WLS for the rest of my life, not just to hit a short-term goal. If it takes 3 months of my life to feel yucky and then feel good for 30 more years, it's an investment worth making.
  5. My surgeon scanned the GB in advance and found stones. I wasn't really symptomatic with GB problems but opted to remove now rather than go back in for a 2nd surgery sometime in the future. My Dr doesn't really say much about the diarrhea - says it's just that first few months where I'm figuring out what I can eat, take Imodium. Not very helpful, but not at all concerned, either. I'm just looking to see if anyone else has experienced this. I feel like there's something wrong with me b/c none of my RNY friends have any experiences like this.
