  1. I am allergic to codeine and hydrocodone, they prescribed me tramadol (Ultram) and it worked very well for me.
  2. Good luck and god speed everyone!
  3. Generally it's a minimum of one night because they'll need to do a swallow study to check for leaks.
  4. I also won't miss not being in picture with my family because I get sick when I see what I look like.
  5. If you didn't throw up it should be fine. It should absorb the same in the stomach and small intestines. Take a test in a few weeks to be sure, plan b does have a very small failure rate.
  6. I feel ya on the boots. I just spent a fortune on a pair of wide calf boots thinking they would fit and silly me didn't try them on. Holding on to them because hopefully I'll fit them sooner rather than later.
  7. That's my biggest fear. ????
  8. I am feeling the exact same way right now! Mine is on the 22nd. ????
  9. My highest BMI was 34, currently 32.5 and my surgery is on 10/22. I start my preop diet on the 14th.
  10. Normal hunger is what I was expecting but by sound of the previous posters I am/was afraid I am doing this all for naught. Constantly hungry but just unable to eat as much. I am really taking this serious and sticking to my pre op diet and already incorporating my new lifestyle change. My husband is super supportive and already changing his eating habits too. Thank you JamieLogical for giving me some hope.
  11. This post is pretty scary to me. ???? I battle every day with gnawing insatiable hunger and I was hoping this would help some. I know I have to battle my food demons but this news is disheartening.
  12. Ok good. I bought myself a good one from a medical supply store and was hoping it worked. I have to go back to work a week after surgery and figured it might help. Thanks again!
  13. I was wondering if anyone used a binder post op and how it worked out for them.
  14. I will NOT miss holding my breath when I tie my shoes. I will also NOT miss my pants feeling like they are cutting me in half.
  15. yea!!! We'll have to keep in touch!
  16. Oct 23rd in Decatur, Tx. I start my full liquids on the 14th.
  17. I was advised to use the Isopure as well. It is clear.
  18. @@Miss Mac- I went to HR with my concerns and I was told I had to divulge what I was having done to my manager and to DON. Both of which gossip. They even look at the surgery schedule and if they see an employee they call them to ask what they are having done and why weren't they told. They claim it's due to staffing. We are a very small facility and and out unit is short staffed, even one absent person throws a wrench into the gears. I went so far as to schedule around others PTO and tried to find my own coverage to minimize disruption. Don't get me wrong this place is the nicest place I've ever worked and we're all like family here. But I think that is also the biggest down side too.
