  1. Thank all. I can't do the marijuana help as I can't risk my job and random drug tests so not really an option for me
  2. Unfortunately they voted it down this past November for medicinal use. I had heard that as well. And on Xmas day when I was at my worst a friend of a friend brought some over and for 2 hours it didn't vomit and was myself for that brief period next day was back in hospital for 6 days. So I agree it works just not legal here so not really an option
  3. yeah have tried phone gran, Zorn, meclazine, scopalomine patch, and compazine. Surgeons say nothing left to give me
  4. Yeah that's kind of what the psych said. I'm just sick of being like 2 weeks post op 4 months in and sick of this constant nausea
  5. Back at Tampa General for appts with Nut and Psychologist. Not sure what we be accomplished. Nut to see what other sources of protein I can get I guess since I don't tolerate protein shakes/powders, or yogurt or cottage cheese. Psychologist I think is a waste as surgeon said he thinks I have a subconscious fear of eating because of me being sick. I told him I have no fear of eating whether I get sick from eating or not. I want to eat, my issue is mechanical not mental. Ugh. But will see these appts as he requested and I visit back with surgeon next week or week after I think. I'm. Still holding my own so maybe botox has helped some. Just don't want to have to live the rest of my life having the discomfort I get from only a few bites of food no matter what it is. What I do fear is that while I am not on my death bed surgeon may be happy not doing anything for me and expect that this is my forever life with my sleeve. My wife had the bypass and can eat 5 times what I can eat with our discomfort I take a couple of bites and am uncomfortable and have to burp for a while to displace space for next bite or relief. I'm struggling a bit on fluids as hard to get fluids in anytime soon after I eat because discomfort can last around an hour.
  6. I have tried carafate, reglan, Zofran, and am on the strongest they have as my understanding, compazine which is typically used for chemo patients. I can take 3 times a day but I take twice a day, last time tube was out was taking one every 2 days. Maybe botox of pyloric valve added to nausea. I am doing better this time around but they aren't sure when botox will wear off. Maybe if I stay this way, this is my life. Not the one I planned but what else can I do. I just don't think long-term use of compazine is good
  7. Still doing so so. 9 days post tube removal. I'm doing fair on liquids and soft foods. Still have bad nausea every day and take compazine. Eating is still an uncomfortable experience. Jealous of my wife and her bypass, she's doing great and can eat much more with no discomfort and is losing weight. I'm losing but no joy in anything. Good related for me
  8. She is doing great, about 2 1/2 PO and she is down 76lbs, no complications at all and is doing great. I'm trying to get my liquids in and some soft foods. I need to test this botox thing. So far so good but I was good for about 7 days post tube last time too. So we will see
  9. I switched to powerade instead of gatorade as someone mentioned it had more vitamins and such
  10. Nausea has been bad. Taking my compazine. I did OK yesterday. Last time took about a week before started to get sick once tube removed. I'm doing liquids and soft foods so will see how it goes
  11. sorry you have had a rough go. It's easy to get dehydrated in the beginning. Try to sip all day if u can
  12. yeah they told me yesterday hydration over protein. It's been almost 3.5 months since surgery, I just want this fixed and be able to eat. I can't live on liquids my whole life nor do I want to. I'm sorry you are having a rough go too
  13. Funny, that what they keep telling me to drink and the full sugar one to help with hydration and calories as I can't tolerate the protein shakes anymore
  14. Just ridiculous. First they have a plan. Now liquids for three weeks then try soft foods again and see if that works. This is nuts. So depressed again. Can't text botox injection that way. I want to be able to eat. Sick of these quacks but even the Mayo clinic sent me back to them. Feeling down and frustrated
  15. At appointment for tube removal. Will be nice to be free again
  16. Thanks all. My confidence that this botox will work is shaken as I do not feel as well as last time when I had the tube in. I will keep positive thoughts when they take it out Friday and pray it does work. We shall see.
  17. Hi. I'm on the tube doing so so. Just tired and weak but can eat a little bit..still have nausea. They will pull tube this Friday and then the clock starts to see if I get sick again. If so would take about 10 days..in.either scenario I'll have to have surgery. I don't seem to be doing as well on the tube this time around. Eating is harder and more uncomfortable than last time. Difference this time is they botoxed my pyloric valve. I don't have a good feeling that the botox will work which will mean a bypass surgery at some point in near future if it doesn't.
  18. Tube in, botox done heading.home to rest
  19. EGD scheduled for 8am will replace NG tube and botox my pylorus
  20. Going to get ivs locally and not drive over an hour there and be in hospital for 4 days waiting for Tuesday's procedure. At least I get some more home time
  21. I'll be in hospital for 5 stay for complications if someone's got nothing better to do :-)
