  1. The pain still tweaks at me. less acute but I still have moments of burning and pain. Thank you for letting me know
  2. I called my surgeon and they recommended probiotics. So far it seems to be helping
  3. I have been there. It is awful. Eventually they were all kidney infections.
  4. I forgot to mention. About 800 calories a day, 3 fusion vitamins, 2 calcium chews
  5. I am 3 weeks out. I have 2 protein shakes a day for 60 grams of protein and 64 ounces of water. If I get hungry I eat 3 tablespoons of pinto beans or a sugar free pudding.
  6. On reddit, another sleever told me her doctor said the sleeve assists in changing gut flora and fauna and also assist in curing metabolic disorders. I have searched the internet to find out more about this and found very little info. Did any of you get this kind of info from your doctor?
  7. My german shepherd lurched to get at another dog and I strained my muscles. I had very little pain before and now I am back to using my ab binder. The surgeon said alternate heat and ice and take an acetominophen. I am 3 weeks out.
  8. My doctor said Fusion is the only complete vitamin for bariatric on the market.
  9. I had an issue with vomiting in the hospital so the doctor sent me home with erm...suppositories of compazine. I haven't needed them. But 300 calories seems very very low even if your are completely sedentary.
  10. I had a dream last week I was eating a burger with donuts for buns. And I was hungry for the first week too
  11. Sorry, not travel ban. Travel warning. heh
  12. Ebola plays into people's fear and drums up ratings for networks. Take that with a grain of salt. Mexico has had a travel ban for years. 99% of tourists make it home safely. You are not going on adventure travel and you aren't going to be participating in risky activities. You will be just fine. Remember, Tijuana is visited by thousands of Americans everyday looking for fun and cheap jewlery.
  13. THANK YOU! I called the doctor's office today and they said to take pain meds but did not describe why. And I was tying my shoe too. I feel much better now.
  14. I have done great so far but I am getting sharp pain at the large incision all of a sudden. I went to tie my shoe and was hit with a painful sensation like I was pulling something under my skin. Very different from the aching and sore muscles I usually feel. I am two weeks out.
  15. Hey. I just posted a free cookbook created by Bariatric Buddies. The recipies are by puree stage. www.chicoweightloss.com/cookbook
  16. Bariatric Buddies, the support group for my Surgeons office, created this cookbook of recipies for each phase of eating post surgery. This has probably been posted before. I hear if you send it to FedEx Kinkos it costs about $3 to print and bind. It has all the permissions to print and use. Dr. Ludwig is a wonderful surgeon and has a comprehensive aftercare program including Bariatric Buddies. Cheers to the lovely ladies who put this together. http://www.chicoweightloss.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/BariatricCookbookJuly2014.pdf
  17. When I walked into the hospital my bp was 165/110. That is how stressed I was. One hour later it was 100/65. I calmed down once the check in started and I started goofing with the nurses.
  18. I am two weeks out. My doctor said 30 minutes of walking 7 days a week til 6 weeks out and not much more. Mainly due to calorie restriction and healing.
  19. Thank you for the wake up calls here. I was pushing it I think.... I was using pain and fullness as my guide. Thank you to all who responded. Every response was something I needed to hear!
  20. I am aiming for 135. I am 5 2 but that weight puts me at an 8/10 which is perfect. I want some boobs and butt
  21. Since my surgery on 9/30, my recovery has gone well. Maybe too well. When I drink water and protein shakes, if my forget myself and gulp, there is no pain. I can drink my protein shakes in a few minutes. Water slides down without fullness. Food goes down normally. My appetite feels like it is the same. I am losing weight at a small pace but no different than before. Besides my healing sutures, I don't feel like I had the surgery. Can anyone commiserate?
