Hi guys!! I'm not sure if anyone is having as much trouble as I am getting all this Protein down, but I found the cure to all my problems!!! Protein filled hot chocolate from "proti diet". ITS AMAZING!! Tastes just like hot coco and doesn't even feel like I'm drinking protein!! They also have a bunch of other protein filled items they make, but my fiancés aunt just showed me this today. I'll deff be trying them! Hope everyone is doing okay!!

At 25 lbs lost (my docs pre- surgery requirement), I plan on spoiling myself with a new purse. 6.5 lbs to go!!
Once I hit onderland, I plan to buy myself a road bike (i have a cross bike right now).
At goal I plan on plastics (depending what their requirements are), or sky diving with mother-in-law.

Great thread - I'm getting close to 'one-derland' and haven't decided on anything yet. It's a major important goal for me though, and I want to honor it somehow.
I'm not up for a tattoo (though many of them are really beautiful and meaningful, as Kathy's are) and I'm not a heights person, so skydiving, hot air balloon ride and hang gliding (big in my town) are all out. As some say above the new clothes thing is nice -- but kind of a necessity these days!

As we embark on a new lifestyle, what kinds of goals has everyone put in place? How do you plan on celebrating the accomplishment of those goals?
I'm trying to come up with ways to reward myself when reaching my goals for 50 lbs, 75 lbs, 100 lbs, and total Weightloss goals reached.
I wanna hear from everyone! Lol. :-)

Ziplining was one thing... I hit goal 2 months ago and I'm scheduled on Saturday for the zip tour!
Skydiving may be the next! I decided to shed an extra 10, so once that's off I'll be scheduling that jump!
I didn't really go mini-goals, just looking and feeling great and the new wardrobe was reward enough!

I rewarded myself with plastic surgery when I was within the 15% of goal that they reccomend you be before plastics. When I hit 137, which is 100 pounds, I would like to Celebrate, as well as when I hit 129, my final goal. I went skydiving when I was younger, however now I've thought about taking the class where you don't have to jump tandem. I also want to go kite surfing, which is something I never would have done when I was fat because I figured the instructor would laugh at me! Oh and I reward myself regularly with clothing, haha....it is SO much more fun to shop when you fit into most of the stuff you try on!

I'm 1 week post op today, and for me, the pain was the worst for the first 4 days. Just keep in mind that it does get better! Be sure to take lip balm and sugar free throat lozenges or throat spray....your mouth will be dry for a few days. Hope this helps. Best of luck to you!

The crazy stuff is actually me!!! My body repairing it's self. Fascia a fibrous elastic collagen.
PA my first post using the app... I have 2.5 hours to kill until my first support group eating dinner in cafe. First day on stage 2. Went to salad bar and got some cottage cheese, a sliver of moist chicken, spoon of hummus, and a spoon of hard boiled egg. Ate 4 ounces. Excited to finally meet another live person who has had a VSG!!!

I was sleeved on the 18th (4 days post-op today). Had an enlarged liver and spleen which meant I needed a blood transfusion during my surgery. In the OR for 4 1/2 hours. Spent that night clucking away at the morphine button with very little help in easing the discomfort. Had a catheter put in as well. Stayed in the hospital until Saturday morning and was on IV fluids entire time. I'm home now with very little discomfort. I am able to walk about 500 feet before needing to rest. sleeping is okay...I am able to lie down flat without much discomfort. Taking Tylenol for pain management. Having no problems with fluids. Was told by Dr. to stay away from any meds to relieve gas, so gas pains come and go naturally. First post-op is this Thursday :-)
