@@freelyme the blood clot is still there but now that my blood is thin it should dissolve faster. ive had my period 3 times since oct 14th. i am no longer in pain!! thank goodness. i refused the percocets on 4 ocassions, the doctors were happy because they were getting concerned about the pain. i only need the pain medicine when i drink too much Water. also i had like 4 bowel movements and it was black diarrhea, they were so scared but after running some tests all was good. i guess it was the Iron they gave me. i had mashed potatoes yesterday and it caused me to dump and i was gagging but nothing would come up it was the worst but nothing like the clot pain. im still scared of food but i try because i have to get out of here. i dont even know how outside feels anymore lol. i hope to be home for the holidays, i feel like doing it at my house and actually cooking for my family.

@@freelyme @@Jyoyonomore thanks babes my mom finally brought my laptop so i feel more alive. sometimes im weak to walk but i have this lovely nurse that reminds me of a grandma that comes in everyday and pushes me so that i don't get anymore blood clots from lying around all day. the doctor said i can get off the tube in a few days because i am eating some purees and drinking 2 of those hospital pitchers a day, i am so glad. i am off the heparin and coumadin because my blood is too thin now, geez lol now they want it to thicken up more so that i can finally go home, the doctor said i cant veen shave because if i get a cut im not going to clot up. so im turning into a bear here lmao. on another note, do you guys know what my mother did today! she calls me before coming and asks me if i would like a mcdonalds caramel sundae, im like damn cuz i loved those before but i know i cant have that and she should know too, being that she had gastric bypass 5 years ago. im like mom do you want to kill me loll duhh i dont want one lol, i know shes just trying to cheer me up but hello thats what got me here in the first place, those treats to cheer up lol. @@layknee can you believe its been 4 weeks already? time flies.

I lost 43 and can't tell a difference. My mom says my face is thinning out and I don't look bloated but besides that it only looks like 15lbs to me. I am 5'10 and a half tho so my weight loss is really scattered. I need to lose like 90 so it can look like 50. I'm in hosital gowns most of my days but my jeans are sagging now so I know I've lost inches. I feel lighter on my walks through the halls of this hospital lol.

Hey guys, thank you for all your words of encouragement I really needed it bad. I've seriously been crying for the past few days and today my mom brought my son and I cheered up. After all these tears and regretful thoughts I have decided to pack it up and I'm just going to live with my decision and take it for what it is. I started my tube feeding yesterday and have been trying to pull through and eat while on it so that I can get off it. I love all of you for being here for me and again I appreciate you guys keeping me in your thoughts and uplifting me with your kind and beautiful words. Thank you.

They said the clot is causing me most of the pain, but by me not eating or drinking in almost 2 weeks, and being that I'm 3 weeks post op, my stomach kinda closed up way more so everything irritates it. They are going to tube feed me and keep me on pain meds while I introduce food slowly and maybe my stomach will tolerate it eventually. I'm stuck here until I can eat and drink, and the clot is going to go away in the next coming months so even after I leave I'm going to have to be on pain meds and coumadine and heparin shots for 6 months. I am so mad that I had this surgery, if I could go back I would of never did it, I'm worse now than when I was almost 300lbs. I should of thought of my child before I decided to risk my life doing this. I feel like a selfish b*t*h and a failure to life.

Hey guys I'm still here going on 10 days sigh. They are going to start tube feeding me. My life sucks. I'm looking skinny but never did I want it to be this way.

@@Beni lmfao, I was doing something like that when I first got here, the sink is outside the bathroom so I was wetting the floor with the shower. Now that my period is here I don't want to make a mess I would die if I was seen dumping bloody towels. @@layknee no I don't feel anything on my cchest, it hurts when it hits the pit. My surgeon just left, he feels so bad for me. He doesn't know when I will leave but if this pain doesn't go away, they are going to make me swallow a camera pill to see what's going on inside. My son came to see me today, and he went from hugging me and kissing me to kicking and pulling my iv lol. My stomach hurts so much right now but not as bad as when I first got here. My doctor said that in 11 years I'm his only patient with this, and that in his group of surgeons only 3 people including me has had it. I could see how bad he felt for me lol. He has added tylenol to my morphene to see if it brings down any swelling and he told me that I don't have to eat or drink anything until I feel I can.

Thanks @ smiley. Before the symptoms I was drinking 70oz of water and 52oz min @@Beni it was so easy but then it went all down hill. It was going through me, now I can't have more than a sip. I was even getting my protein in, then I had that constipated feeling and then I stopped eating. I feel like I went back completely.

And the people on puree, how are you guys eating 4oz? My nut said 2oz only and it only took 1oz to fill me up. I didn't feel full at first but once you dump the controlled meds you feel everything. I was looking forward to eating solids for thanksgiving, boo that's not going to happen. I hate food now, this surgery really works lol.

@@layknee I would go, I was hesitant and look. You never know, like as much as you want to be strong only you know your body. If you are naseous that's a sign of a leak they keep stressing that. Just go because over the phone they are dumb dumbs, I hope you feel better and don't hesitate to go to the er. Plus pain sucks, I wish I could just numb myself I hate pain, I've been going crazy yelling while in pain. You don't deserve to be in pain, and you deserve to be able to drink fluids. I can't drink either, I haven't had more than a sip of water since I got here and I'm not doing it again, I swallow my pills with saliva. It hurts so bad my stomach must of shrunk more. I can't have more than a sip before I feel like I'm going to explode.

Thanks for the well wishes all, I really want to go home, I never cry but I was crying like a baby last night I want my old life back minus the weight. At least I have a great view of the city lol, I can't take pics because my phone keeps dying, my charger gave up too.

One in the artery that goes to my liver and one on the vein that goes to my liver, I didn't know but I was dying at home of pain that wouldn't go away. I called my docs and they thought I was lying about eating and said I was dumping, I couldn't handle the pain and then went to the er. That doctor also didn't know he said it was acid, but I got mad cuz of the pain and asked for another doc and they found it in my ct scan and xray. The pain was right in the middle where our new stomach is like on top. It felt like trapped gas, trapped poop, someone gripping the stomach and burn and so uncomfortable. It came out of nowhere too, because I was feeling great prior.

Hey guys, I am still in the hospital. I've been here since sunday. I still have the bloodclot, they have me on heparin and cuma something pill. I'm still in pain and I haven't ate since thursday of the week before I arrived, so 9 days. They had me on a liquid diet, to a puree now I'm back on liquids. I am not hungry at all and don't even look at the meals. I had water 2 days ago, about a sip and I was on the floor crying of pain. They have me on 4mg of morphine every 2 hours, and they don't know when I will leave. I had my period the day after surgery on the 14th, and then the heparin brought it back down on the 29th. I miss my son terribly and I'm so depressed here. I am on a bunch of ivs and have lost a total of 35lbs since surgery on the 13th. I see the muscle mass that I am losing, the doctors ordered protein shakes but forget about that, they are so horrible. Even after the clot goes, they won't let me leave until I can have 4oz every hour, so I'm back to the beginning. I am literally scared of food and liquids. I just want to go home, I can't even shower because they can't take me off the heparin, I've been using those wash wipes but my uhah misses soap sigh. I look like a bum, my hair is oily, and the pain doesn't budge. My surgeon said only 3 of his patients have had this, I should go play the freakin lottery.

Thanks @@Jyoyonomore I feel pretty awesome. They brought me hospital solid food, and I must be starving because I had a few bites of chicken, I pureed it in my mouth lol. The morphine is still kicking so no pain. I'm really sleepy but can't sleep. I broke night. I'm just mad I didn't bring extra clothes and although my mom has a spare key to my apartment, I hate when people go through my things and touch my things lol.

@@layknee omg I'm sorry all of that has happened. Ugh I got so mad reading that, I hate stupid jerks who do such dumb things and with your kids involved ugh plus you're freshly post op. I hope you feel better I can only imagine how stressed you are. I hope that stupid jerk gets time where he belongs with animals. I'm glad you and your kids are okay. Take care twinie!

@@Beni yeah, and I still have the marks and those shots hurt like hell.

@@Beni from my memory they gave me the shot 2-3 times a day for 3 days after surgery. I think it was 3 but since I was loopy ima say 2-3. That's why the doctor thinks its a genetic thing. My mom gets a lot of bloodclots and she's always bruising so they may be on to something.

Hell yeah @@layknee ugh pain sucks. So I got the info now from my surgeon. Its not directly on my surgery, its a bloodclot on my main artery that goes to my liver, he said this is very rare and that I may have a genetic trait for bloodclots and stuff in the hematology lingo. I am going to be here for 4-5 days getting my blood monitored and getting those painful shots we got to soften our blood in the beginning of post op. They are going to have hematology visit me to see which tests they should do to find out why I got this. After I get discharged I'm going to have to take a blood softener for 6 months and they will control my pain via pain meds, which I don't want because they constipate me, but I don't want to ever feel that pain again. The doctor said that this bloodclot is the reason for my pain, my not being able to pass gas, or go number 2, and why I'm not hungry or thirsty. My lips are about to fall off so they are gonna start the ivs soon. Thanks for the well wishes guys ( @@freelyme )I am now on another vacation! Lol. Layknee how are you now? Are you able to get stuff down? Its crazy we're both having issues I wonder if our surgery day was a bad day for surgery. I was having a moment earlier of wishing I never did this surgery, but after the pain went away I'm still happy with my decision.

Idk how to accurately describe the pain, just know its one of those pains that meSs with your head and make you psychotic. I've been dealing with it since I made that concoction, but today I had enough. I yelled at my poor baby because of the agonizing pain, his dad just looked at me in shock. A way to describe it is an ongoing contraction. Very uncomfortable, a little burn, it really makes you go crazy, I didn't know what to do. It felt like I had to do number 2 in my stomach but couldn't, then gas swimming around it, plus nonstop contraction and someone stabbing you softly over and over. I was really crying thinking how I couldn't live with this pain forever if nothing was wrong. Thanks @@Beni and @shonislove. I'm so grateful that they gave me something for the pain, finally a relief. I feel so terrible about yelling at my son, that's all I'm thinking about. My poor baby had to deal with my psychopath arse :'( I hope he doesn't remember, I never treat him like that. Sigh.

Okay the doctor just came, I have a bloodclot on my surgery, I didn't get much details but they are concerned and they have contacted my surgeon so that he can check me out. This is what might be causing the pain. The other dumb dumb made me feel worse by giving me maalox because he thought it was acid. Gosh I wish I could see his aRse again. I think if I didn't say anything when he was trying to discharge me, I would of died at home. I'm so angry, I just hope this pain goes away, it feels like I'm being stabbed and someone is pulling my stomach out, plus the constipation didn't make anything better, also I couldn't fart.

Hey guys I've been in the er for 12 hours, I'm getting admitted now. I had a catscan and abdominal xray done, not the barrium though. I don't know what's wrong, all I know is that I had to demand to see a bariatric doctor, the doctor before was going to discharge me in the same condition I arrived. I've been given maalox and something that numbed my stomach, then again, and then morphine. I haven't ate in days and I stopped drinking yesterday. I'll update, I feel like I'm going to die.

i don't know if i am posting this in the right place, but i am curious, what did you guys incorporate into your preop diet? how did you feel while on the diet? also i would like to know how did you feel when you were about to get surgery and the mask was put on? what were your thoughts?

I haven't tried prune juice even though I wanted to. My plan says no juice whatsoever, I'm pretty sure olive oil and coconut oil and lemon juice are not on my plan either. However, I was so cramped up and lying on the floor for hours that I couldn't gather myself up to go to the store and get some. My mom has my son, and I was pretty much alone. The good news is that my concoction worked within minutes, I have gone 4 times already and my abdominal pain is slowly leaving and becoming tolerable. I still feel like there's some stuff up there in my tubes lol. I am drinking more fluids but water is starting to taste weird and I'm over the crystal light. I went ahead and had some greek yogurt, like 1oz because I had gone too long without food and was getting real light headed. I just want my stomach to feel normal again, I needed relief and now I have bubble guts but I know there's more so I still feel yucky.
