Can you tell me a little bit of your daily meal plan? Maybe I could get myself off this hump I'm on too. Thanks. My name is Molly too. From Texas. Thanks again. (I also posted a question about morning nausea) not fun :-/.[/quot

I make sure I drink 2 Premier Protein drinks a day. That gives me 60 grams of Protein or I make a drink with almond milk or skim milk using Met-Rx Protein Plus from Trader Joe's. These are my Snacks.

For Breakfast I have oatmeal, an egg or a super smoothie with kale, spinach and an array of fruits. I add a half cup of plain kefir or Greek yogurt, coconut waster, and unsweetened vanilla almond milk and some ice.

Lunch: tuna with onion, bell pepper and low fat mayo or cottage cheese with veggies in it. I eat about 1/2 - 1 cup.

Dinner: A little chicken, fish or meat with salad or veggie.

I find I don't eat much. If we go out to eat I usually just take a little of my husband's meat and order a small salad to go with it. We went to a buffet and I found little cooked food to eat. I couldn't keep what I ate down. So I have no attraction to trying everything.

I find simple healthy food to be the best. A pot of Beans, very chunky homemade Soup, occasionally Pasta, but mostly a little meat or fish and some veggies.

  2. My doctor was Dr Sergio verboonen.

Dr Pounce assisted. They do gastric sleeves together. Dr. Rios arranged everything. He is a general surgeon also in practice with them at Obesity Goodbye Clinic in Tijuana. I had my procedure in a small private hospital. I spent 2 nights there and one night in a hotel. Dr Rios arranges transportation from the San Diego Airport and to other places you need to go. You can also have your surgery at the clinic. They have two rooms for patients and a surgery facility. You go from the airport to the clinic for pre-op tests and then to the hospital for surgery or stay at the clinic for surgery.

The care at the hospital was better than any care I have had in the states. I usually have horrible bruises from IV's etc. I literally had no bruises. They were very caring and did not rush,

My husband went with me and stayed at the hospital with me. They have a bench in the room to sleep on or couches at the end of the hall.

I did go to a bariatric seminar at Northwest Hospital and discussed going to Mexico with my primary. She said she would back me up as insurance wouldn't cover surgery. This clinic was given to me by another doctor who went there with her girlfriend who had her surgery in the hospital too.

I have been to my primary twice since surgery. She is very pleased with my progress.

  3. Yay! I'm so glad to hear from others that have had their surgeries with him. I live in a small community & several people here have went to him but most of the ones I actually know have went to his cancun practice. It's good to hear good things from the Tijuana site since that is where I'll be going. :) . I had my first real step in the right direction today, I got all of my stuff turned in & sent off for my passport card! Lol, I feel kind of goofy for being excited since I don't even have a date yet.

  4. I'm 64 and had my surgery in Mexico May 13, 2014. I feel so much better with the weight loss. I can move more easily and can walk much faster. The weight was really hampering my activities. I have been stalling the last 3 weeks but I hope to lose more. I know it has helped my overall health.
