I can't wait for this one! I'm 5' tall and after I had my son my shoe size went up. I can wear some 10w and 11's but I want my regular size 9-1/2 10 feet back! lol

This is funny! My surgery is in 2 weeks but I ALWAYS want it now and I'm single. If it gets worse after surgery somebody's son is gonna be in big trouble!!!

Anyone NOT lose weight prior to surgery? What happens if you don't?

You also probably shouldn't hold it. Holding it can cause problems as well.

I'm on day 9 of 28 and I do good all day. Then when the evening comes I'm starving and just want anything I can get my hands on. Today it was a McChicken. Yesterday it was a big bowl of chili. How many days do you have left until your surgery?

I usually buy the Hawaiian punch ones but it's a tad too sweet for me for some reason. I bought the crush strawberry yesterday. it's good! I mix 2 packets with 1.5 liters of water and it's still a little too sweet but not as bad as the Hawaiian punch. (I'm pre-op and not into super sweet stuff....it's probably going to get worse after surgery smh)

I buy the Premier Protein in chocolate and vanilla. I add Folgers hazelnut coffee flavor drops to it and it's like drinking an iced coffee. I also put the sugar free syrup and I was told I can use extracts in them as well. They are good without adding flavor but better with it to add some variety. I also had a sample pack of the unjury unflavored and used it in some broth. It was pretty good. I wouldn't mix it with Water though. I think the seasoning I added helped it mask any possible aftertaste.

So my mom tells me that my dad asked my pastor to pray for me for my upcoming surgery. He didn't say what kind of surgery though (THANK GOD!!). What she didn't tell me is that he did this during corporate prayer service at my church on Wednesday....in front of the ENTIRE congregation!!!! So when I got to church this morning, about 4 people came up to me asking me if I was okay....Smh....he meant well but now I have people looking at me like I'm dying because they don't know what kind of surgery I'm having! Lol! And on top of that, dad tells me that our retired police negotiator deacon cornered him asking a thousand questions trying to get more info! LOL!!!!! This is going to be interesting because we have some nosey people at my church lol:p

I'm three weeks away from my surgery but I JUST asked my mother this same question Sunday when the outfit I had on was way too big. I'm on my second week of the pre op diet and I don't know how much I lost last week but what I do know is that the 3x top I got for Christmas fits me like I had on my 400 pound uncle's shirt and the pants, that 6 weeks ago were so tight I thought I was going to split them with every step, are now almost falling off. I'll be in the thrift store before surgery if this keeps up! I'm not mad though

@@Pac-woman Agreed! I was scared reading these posts saying people had the surgery as outpatient until I went to my orientation last week. When she explained that they do all they can to prevent complications after the fact and I actually saw people who had surgery the day before walking around looking like they had never had surgery my mind was at ease. Doing this outpatient is a scary thought to me. I go in on a Tuesday and I will be discharged on that Thursday granted I can get in all the fluids. If I can't I will go home Friday!

I saw Premier Protein today at costco and I am wondering if they are any good. I was looking for the thread that talked about them but I can't find it. I think I'm going to try the chocolate. The clerk said I can bring them back if I don't like them. What say you?

Do any of you think you could have benefited from an extra day in the hospital? It's procedure for my hospital to keep you 2-3 days. They make you walk, take the drains out before you are discharged, make sure you don't have leaks, and you can't go if you can't get 4 oz down in an hour. And you have to have a Protein shake before you leave too.

@@Miss Mac OMG!!!! I don't even eat peanut butter that much but I think I'm gonna go buy some tomorrow! Just to try that...sounds amazing!!!

I get board with plain chocolate and vanilla so I add flavors to them. Maybe if you tried that you would like them more. My Nut said that it was okay to add a couple drops of extract to it and I also was given the suggestion to put sugar free orange Jello powder in the vanilla one to make it taste like a creamcicle. Premier is the only one I use now. I'm praying I will still like them post op but making them different flavors is working very well for me.

I saw a post on pinterest of a lady who used the wraps and defining gel by itworks to help with loose skin. She loved it! And it doesn't dry you out at all.

I don't understand why people are going home with drains. I guess this is another indication of how each surgeon is different. My drain will come out before they discharge me.

I have to look it up to see if it has caffeine but I don't think it does. It's all natural. Check out myitworks.com. they are a little expensive but to me they are worth it.

Prayer is huge in my life! I can't survive with out it...with out HIM!

Not all wraps are water weight loss. I used to use body wraps before I started on this journey and I plan to go back to them once I start to lose. The ones I used don't boast weight loss and it is suggested you drink lots of water while you wrap.
