  1. 6 months out and I still struggle with this even though I have gotten a lot better. I usually watch tv or read or talk while I am eating and put the fork down after every bite. I still eat too fast sometimes though. I think you are doing the right things. It just takes time and some getting used to. Good luck.
  2. So I wanted some chicken wings today from the place by my job. I have had wings since the surgery but not these wings. My favorites!! I get three wings. After the first one which took about 10 minutes or so to eat, it didn’t feel right going down or sit right on my stomach. What do I do? Ignore the “it doesn’t feel right or sit right feeling” and keep eating. Not a wise choice. I just spent the last 15 minutes in the bathroom. Ugh. I have eaten wings before with no problem but it must be the oil or something they are cooked in. I am mad at myself for not stopping when the first one didn’t feel right. Lesson learned the hard way. Anyone else experience this?
  3. I have been working out faithfully 5 days a week since I came home from the hospital June 19th, only missing a day when it couldn't be help. I have decided to take off next week from the gym. I'm just tired and need a break. (I am sure guilt will probably get the best of me at some point and I will probably go anyway though). Anyone else just tired of working out and need a break?
  4. I want to see able to wear a bikini on the beach.
  5. Thank you everyone. I appreciate the kind words. I really do.
  6. I have been frustrated and discouraged the last couple of months because I stalled for awhile. I was not looking forward to my appointment today at all. However, according to the NUT and Doc, I am doing well and on track. I look "good and healthy". Keep getting in Proteins and Water but "don't be afraid to eat". Increase calorie intake. (Was not eating enough). Stop running on the treadmill. Even though my bad knee (had surgery on it two years ago) feels ok now, it won't in 6 months. I feel good about it. I said I was not ready to post pics yet but I will post a few here. The first was the week before the surgery in June. The second one was after surgery in Sept. The third pic was taken last week. Pics will be deleted.
  7. Oh my goodness. So sorry to hear this. Will keep you lifted in prayer. Please keep us updated. *hugs*
  8. Good for you! I look forward to following your journey. Going to check it out now.
  9. I started walking as soon as I came home from the hospital. I walked 6 days a week for the first 4 months. Now I am in the gym 5 days a week. I try to work out at least 45 minutes a day. Sometimes longer. I have always worked out though which didn't help much taking certain medications.
  10. I will get it together Kathy. I promise. I am good during the week when I am at work. I eat breakfast (boiled eggs, yogurt or fruit), snack, lunch (small salad, greens or something like that- usually 4 to 5 ounces), snack, dinner (4 to 5 ounces of whatever I am having. It varies), then snack. Snacks are usually Protein shakes, Jerky, carrots, nuts, Protein Bars, etc. I drink protein Water. On the weekend, I don't really eat much. Just nibble or graze. Ok. I have to got to do better.
  11. Do you actually eat or nibble most of the time? I just realized a lot of the time I actually never really eat but just nibble all day. Is the normal?
  12. What a great post!! Congratulations to you! I hope to be where you are at my 3 year mark.
  13. I have been stalled for a while now and it is seriously starting to worry me. Even though I have been losing inches, the scale is stuck. LOL! I work out 5 days a week, eat well most of the time (Proteins, shakes, etc.). I know I wasn’t eating enough calories at one point so I have been working on increasing my calorie intake. I am started to worry that this is it… that I won’t lose any more weight. Is feeling like this normal?
  14. Those heffas!!!! Anywho... so glad you are not dimming your light. Keep letting your light shine for the world to see. Congrats on your 100 weight loss.
  15. So according to the rumor mill at work, I am sick which is why I was off work for 6 weeks and have lost soooo much weight. I was wondering how long it was going to take for the rumors to get back to me. It took two months longer than I expected. The gossipers are slipping! LOL!!
  16. I just got my hair done yesterday and noticed how much hair I have loss. My hair is already thin and fragile. Any type of stress or body changes always affects my hair. I am going to start taking supplements. I am actually mad with myself for not doing it sooner.
  17. "Don't be afraid to eat just don't LIVE to eat". I love this!!
