I spoke with my doctor's office today. They said the pain wasn't normal. Told me to go back on liquids for an extra week then try again on soft foods. They said if I still have stomach pains four weeks out they would perform a swallow test.

Have you switched your protein?

I get them too. I'm 15 days post op. It got better during the liquid phase but as soon as I started on the solids I started to experience it again. Mother of god it makes me not want to eat. The sleeve is amazing. I hate food now.

People take biotin but I heard that doesn't stop hair loss. But, it does make your existing hair nice and thick.

I'm twelve days out. Having a hard time forcing myself to eat or drink. What a new experience. Lol. Getting in 45 g of protein with effort. Praying my hair won't fall out.

Does everyone lose a lot of hair?

13 days post op. No pain. No more sleep than usual. Still pain with swallowing anything but liquids. Heck, sometimes with liquids.

For any guy out there that ever wondered what us girls were complaining about when we said we were having cramps due to our cycle. Now you know, for me it felt just like when they removed the drainage tubing. Awful!

I'll order it immediately. But I'm having the same issue with the fat free soups as well.

I am 6 days post op. Today I was able to partake of my protein shakes. They went in and immediately came out. I wasn't surprised because it happened before the surgery so I was expecting it. What I wasn't expecting was for everything I put in to come out just as fast. When should I expect to have a normal bowel movement?

I'm five days post op. I tried chicken broth for first time since the operation. It did the same thing your cheddar broccoli soup did. It was so fast I would describe it as dumping. I plan on avoiding broth just for that reason. You might do the same with your soup. I'm sure it will get better. I read on this forum that our stomach is like a baby's now and we need to introduce food to it slowly. Makes sense to me. Good luck.

I had surgery on the 24th as well. What your experiencing is normal I think because I am having the same problem. Today is the first day that I've been able to drink without pain. Hot tea sweetened with spenda is going down the best. It is getting better. Hang in there.

Hi all. I had surgery on Monday. Everything is going well. I'm not enjoying the twice daily blood thinner shots but I understan the necessity. I am wondering how long it will take before I can swallow liquids, even a sip, without the sharp pain in my stomach.?

Had surgery two days ago. I was nervous as well. Other than being sore, I feel great. The complete lack of hunger is amazing. I'm so glad that I paid for this surgery. Good luck.
