Not much weight loss...
Essence46 replied to bridget1015's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You are not eating enough food so the little you eat, your body is holding on too. Try to eat something every two hours and sip water in between. Good luck. -
@@Fatdiva14, I decided on the permanent one for precautionary reasons. I took the better safe than sorry route. My doctor assured me that leaving it in would not cause any long term problems or issues. I may decide to have it removed at some point later in life.

I have a permanent one. I can't even tell it's there.

Essence46 posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was sleeved on June 18 and I am have loss 56 pounds in 6 months. My current weight is 202. I am starting to feel a little discouraged because I feel like I am so behind everyone else. I try to keep in mind we are all different sizes but still feel discouraged sometimes. How is everyone else doing? -
How many Ounces of Food at 10 months post-op?
Essence46 replied to ahjohnson's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I eat everything on a small tea cup size saucer. I think it is 4 ounces or something close to it. I believe I can take in a little more but I don't. If it doesn't fit on the saucer, I don't eat it. This has been a good measuring tool for me. -

Non existent support from spouse
Essence46 replied to Loving Lenci's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Wow! Sorry to hear this. I really am. You are going to be tested alot (it's sad it has to be by your spouse though). Consider this your first one. Throw the cupcakes, ice cream and anything else he brings into the house. Use it as motivation. Good luck to you. -

Keep water with you at all times. I keep a bottle in my purse, my car, my desk at work, my night stand, etc. Good luck on your journey. You will do fine. -
Ingredients: purified Water, HydroLean proprietary Protein blend (why protein isolate {milk], hydrolyzed collagen), malic acid, citric acid, natural flavors, salt, fruit and vegetable juice (for color), potassium sorbate (preservative) and sucralose. Yes there is Protein Water. It is hard to find though. The Vitamin Shop has them. Recently, the Giant grocery store near my house started carrying them. I have seen them in different flavors. @@Essence46 Protein water??

For the people actively Losing weight that track food...
Essence46 replied to Elode's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was only averaging around 750 calories a day. With working out 5 days a week, I wasn't eating enough food. My NUT set a goal of 1100 calories a day in order for me to lose weight. I struggle with it sometimes though. I just don't eat that much. I notice when I eat more calories, I lose more. I live off protein shakes, protein bars, cheese sticks, turkey, eggs, peanut butter, carrots and any kind of greens (kale, collards, etc.) -
I took one and showed it to my NUT. She ok'd it for me to drink. It gives you the protein you need along with the water.

Until last week, I was only able to find it at the Vitamin Store. I saw it in Giant grocery store here in DC the other day. It is actually pretty good. A little sweet with a slight after taste but its not too bad. It comes in grape, berry bash, lemon and orange. I like all of them accept lemon.
