  3. down -6lbs 4 more until my first mini goal. Had a relapse last night (ate some cookies and chips) but not beating myself up eating clean today and feeling better. When you stumble pick yourself off and take it day by day meal by meal.

  4. beware of the honeymoon phase when you are first banded, for some the feeling does not last. You still must make your peace with food-its always going to be there!

  10. hey there soon. I am in chi-town! well south subs but if your anywhere near chicago u claim it right :-) Girl yes it is a struggle, im 4 years out and it is still a struggle. I can say that you will NEVER be able to eat the same amount of food you used to BUT you can overeat the bad stuff so watch out! My best piece of advise is to work out--something I struggle at still BUT it will melt the weight off faster than just letting the band do the work...i coasted off the band for about a year and the scale wasnt moving BUT the moment I hit the gym 5 days it was melting off! Good luck to you--i am here if you need anything!

  11. Aww yeah that would be great. I see we have alot of similarities :-) I have two boys too! 13 & 6. You can email me anytime joyhatchett@comcast.net Im on FB too. If you want we can do a check in on each other to keep our booties in check! How are you doing with exercise. In the last week alone I hve come up with at least 10 different excuses--I need new workout shoes, and pants, Im tired. So You Think You Can Dance is on I cant miss that, the boys want to go to the pool...blah blah blah I used up all my excuses this week so I have to bite the bullet and GO.

  13. Thanks Coco. I can't wait to see your side by side picks. Even with the struggles it is still the best thing I ever did. I for sure cannot eat the amount that I used to, it does keep you in check as far as portion control. My problem was eating junk that was easy to get down. I wish you all the best, please keep in touch and let me know how things are going.

  14. Hello I was banded 10/2006. But felt the same way. I wasnt on here for a while but decieded to come back for support since I really dont have any elsewhere. Try looking at newbie post you can see how excited they are to start the journey and I helps you remember how you felt at that time. Also look at some before and after pics or blogs. Try blogging for yourself..it helps.

  15. Xavier...love the name thats my sons middle name! Good luck on the next 35lbs. Im here if you need to talk. Returning to LBT has already changed things for me. I cant just be accountable to myself that doesnt work because I will just make excuses. This LBT forum helps keep me in check! Let me know what is working for you cardio/food wise!

Oh I know how you feel I try not to eat at work around ppl, 1) because of the gurgles- when food makes that wierd noise going down and after its settling or 2) in case I have to PB so I have to make sure I know where the restroom is at all times....its just to much work! Well spin is high intensity stationary cycle class when your up and down fast and slow with low and high resistance burns calories better than anything I have ever tried. I watched from a far for a while at my gym to see if it was something I could do and one day i just went for it. I stopped going for about a year so i will be starting from zero--my legs and butt will be screaming but it will be worth it.
