As a former nurse it is my experience that incisions heal much quicker than 3 weeks. But of more concern is the oozing liquid that generally never a good sign. Sounds like you might have an infection. http://www.hdcarecompass.com/Blog/February-2012/Patient-Safety--Signs-of-a-Post-Operative-Infectio Have you talked with your physician. What does she say?
-
You said "I started experimenting with foods to see what my stomach could handle for example I eat a large fried egg in the morning with a little salt and pepper." That sound like you are eating foods not on your list. It also seem in the original post that you are eating larger quantity than the 2-3 tablespoon per meal.

Are you trying to sabaotging yourself? If you are adding all of this at this stage, what will you do at a later stage. In addition to talking with your nutritionist, could should consider talking with a counselor.

what are the problems? how do you take your fluids?

I am 2 weeks post off. so I don't knw what I will be able to eat. Like you I love meat - consequently when I made this decision I had to do it on a "worst case" bases -- That is I assume that one long term result would be that I would not tolerate meat. I did that because no matter how many anetodtal stories of WLS people enjoying meat, I could be the odd person where that was not true. I wanted to make the decision assuming that worst would happen

2 weeks out and I can eat far more than I should
MsUjima replied to youkmonster's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How much does your nutritionist say you should be eating. I had my surgery about the same time (9/16). I have been on liquids and blended liquids. But I have no desire to eat. I don't do shakes, I am drinking liquid Protein and I eat about 2.5 to 3 tablespoon condensed ccream soup. So far it is going geat. I really think you ought to put the question to your doctor. -
Went in for my two weeks follow-up and I have lost 22 lbs. My doctor moved me on to soft foods (3 weeks early) yeah!

Call your doctor.

I am not hungry .I get my Protein through my "water". Protein: I don't use the shake. I use Isopure liquid zero carb. each bottle contains 40gms of protein. I divide between 1/3 to 1/2 in to the 750ml camelback sipping bottle. I fill the rest of the bottle with ice and Water and a touch of steiva. I then sip on the mixture fo 2 to 3 hours. I make about 3 of those mixtures which gets my protein and my Fluid intake. Here is the link: http://www.luckyvita...CFaQ7Mgod4QMA_w My favorite is grape and orange and coconut

At 6 months, a statistically significant reduction in bacterial overgrowth was achieved in the probiotic group with a preoperative to postoperative change of sum H2 part per million (probiotics = −32.13, controls = 0.80). Surprisingly, the probiotic group attained significantly greater percent excess weight loss than that of control group at 6 weeks (controls = 25.5%, probiotic = 29.9%) and 3 months (38.55%, 47.68%). This trend also continued but was not significant at 6 months (60.78%, 67.15%). The probiotic group had significantly higher postoperative Vitamin B12 levels than the control group. Both probiotic and control groups significantly improved their GIQoL. http://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s11605-009-0891-x

Rosie O’Donnell Makes Hurtful Comments About the Lap-Band on “The View”
MsUjima replied to Alex Brecher's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Magazine
I know I am a distinct minority in my opinion. As a socialist, I tend not to watch the view -- definitely not liberal or radical enough. Politics aside. I I didn't fine her comments outrageous or inaccurate. The lap band IS a less efficient way to lose weight. It does have the highest resurgery - than other methods. there are reason people legitimate choose it. That siad You might want O'Donnell to put a smiley face on her critique. I don't. I spent months trying to see how people felt . I am grateful for her straight talk -

Post surgery hunger and eating
MsUjima replied to darby1430's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congratulations on the success of your surgery. I had my surgery on Tuesday. You might want to try sipping instead of drinking, I regalize that I had a problem with glupping and so bought sipping Water bottle before the surgery. http://smile.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_sc_1_7?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=camelbak%20water%20bottle&sprefix=cambelb%2Caps%2C215 I bought the 20 ounce bottle and I sip one bottle over 3 to 4 hours. I also mix my water with 1/3 to 1/2 Isopoure zero carb drink (http://www.theisopurecompany.com/en/drinks) which means that I am gettiing about 40 gms of Protein. I am not hungry at all. I think it is because of the constant intake of protein. Hope that helps -
I am 4 days post op - doing well. no real abdominal pain; no nausea; no problems sleeping.

RNY: can you FIT water IN? And HOW?
MsUjima replied to meyouus's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I have never liked Water and one of my doctors say that it is about "fluid". I drink water with stevia - sometimes I put flavoring sometimes not. My favorite - peach roobios tea (a cup) in a quarter of water with stevia. Roobios is not really a tea - but a herb and it has medcinal qualities http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rooibos. -
Personal letter of necessity
MsUjima replied to Sarah Delaney-Feliz's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doctor had a form that asked me all the times I had attempted to lose weight over the years. How successful were my attempts and the ultimate results. I literally just listed and dated generally (like the year) and the method. He turned that in as my statement of proof of weight loss attempt. I think that want to be sure that traditional weight loss methods won't be successful. And they are a failure if yu either didnot lose weight or you regain it back. Just make a List Date Method Use results did yor regain? How much
