So Saturday...I did:
45 minutes on treadmill (got 3 miles in yes!)
Then went to the Georgia Aquarium and walked like 3 more miles..LOL
but not counting those....darn..!
Sunday.....is my day off from exercising...
Today Monday I am planning to hit the gym at work during lunch for 30 min.

Don't be discouraged, 4jin. You are right where you should be. It's very uncommon for people to lose much (if any) weight when they start eating mushies to the time they get their first fill. I think I lost 2 lbs. during that time and they said that was good because a lot of people gain weight!Mushy foods are by nature usually more calorie-heavy, things you wouldn't normally want to eat very often once you have restriction. Things like macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, etc. It's ok, the most important thing is for your stomach to heal, and the weight will start coming off once you get your first fill. Don't stress about it too much. Just try to do the best you can, and hang tight until your first fill! You can do it!

I have no problems with mornings....but come about 2:30 on...forget it...I am really fighting it to stay on track....
Your words were great advice to hear and will let me know my actions and efforts are understood.

Since we are recently banded I just wanted to do an exercise challenge to get our journey going.
It is a walking challenge. (since that's all we can do for now)

I am still in the Soft Foods Phase II stage. I was banded on Feb 4, 2008. My weight loss has stalled. I keep loosing and gaining the same 3 lbs. My swelling must have gone because I have no restriction now. I have been following my band guidelines and can eat up to 1cup of food per meal. Which I have been doing since no restriction the last couple of days...I'd say the hunger started two or three days ago. The hunger is tolerable not the lion beast it used to be, but psychologically I am struggling not to forget and do mindless eating or the old habit of eat because stomach wants something. My first fill isn't until March 19.

Kanigag I felt great!
It was like an instant burst of energy back in me.
I have continued with the sublingual and that has helped keep the energy up.

nope no problems with cheese here. Has to be as is shredded...can't heat up thought.
Last night I made:
Steamed vegetables
mixed some tofu once they were really soft...
mixed all together the tofu and the steamed veggies.... dropped a dot of olive oil....and voila...
kind of fun making up recipes...
something about putting things in the blender that doesn't convince me...I just can't do it...I'd rather try to be creative with my own recipes.< /p>

I was told it has a lot to do with the sodium intake as well.
And that our bands don't begin its real journey until we have our 1st fill.
Tinaf, I am with you ....I haven't gained but haven't got past the 16 lbs lost neither.

Well guys I went and got a B-12 shot too yesterday!
I am anemic and have low blood pressure as well. But he did say to continue the sublingual daily as well. So I will continue to receive them 1x per month.
I can feel a big difference in energy!

Oh gosh....second restaurant experience DH and my mom decide to go out to Olive Garden. I did excellent.,,,,,except I know it is high in fat but it was yummy....I had zuppa toscana.....(creamy potatoe soup)....
delicious! just drank the liquids and smashed the potatoes...and made sure I didn't swallow any of the potatoe peels.

I was banded on 2/4/08. I don't have bruises thank goodness. They injected me with something or the other so I wouldn't bruise. That I remember. Glynda just like Angie says if you press on it you can feel it. But most definitely can't see it.
The first time I went out into the world after surgery was to a mall. I felt weird...but reassured and happy inside because I felt like I have this secret misile that will help me fight the weight war!

sounds like you are doing good. Oh..you are so lucky 1st fill on Feb 28 and banded on Feb 1.....I was banded on Feb 4 but have to wait until March 19 for a fill. My doctor doesn't do until 6 weeks. darn!

Oh...my first restaurant experience I had mashed potatoes...plain didn't want the gravy.....just that...nothing else....

Yep since adding some foods into my diet the scale hasn't changed. At least it hasn't gone in the so familiar + neither. I was told by a frient today who was banded before me that the dietician explained it is because we are consuming things that are canned or premade. These are all high in sodium, so our bodies are retaining all this Fluid. She said not to worry once we go for a first fill and meet with our dieticians our diets will change and we will drop the fluid and more lbs.
I am crossing my fingers this is so! yes....I believe!

My swelling has gone down as well. I can feel my port. But it should be even and on the outside not even look like you have it.

Now I made a loaded potatoe
(minus the bacon of course)
Baked potatoe
reduced fat sour cream
butter or margarine
bit of salt or pepper to taste
onions, green peppers (just to replace the feel of the bacon)
I used some chinese onions too.

:lunch:Today for dinner I made my own version of a potatoe salad
I took three red potatoes and peeled them and cut them into very small pieces (the smaller the better because they will blend faster once cooked)
I boiled them along with one egg( the egg boiled for 10 minutes only) with
the potatoes
I sliced some onions & green peppers, peeled the egg and threw it all in the food processor along with pimento peppers and some of the Water that comes with the canned pimentos.
Mix all together along with some light mayo....and voila!

Hey guys am with the challenge. This morning I just started my own ticker to my goal for the month....
