@JJ shlic thank you very much! I too am used to taking all my meds at one big gulp.. The thought of taking them one at a time is a killer.. (Especially because they taste bad) but thank you for your input.. Did you have to crush them in the beginning? -

Hello all! I've been reading a lot of post ops ... They keep saying how their hungry still.. I'm so scared this is going to happen to me.. My doc says that he uses a 38-39 bougie and I do t feel like that is small enough for me.. I just eat 2 thin burgers and a few slices of steak and am still hungry.. Pls tell me this gets better!! Thank you in advance!! -
Oh no I have to take lovenox as well, I'm taking it they inject it into ur belly?

Thank you for sharing your story, I too am from NY, I'm getting sleeved 12/9 in Brookhaven hospital, so excited and a little nervous of the pain but I know it'll all be worth it where in NY did you have you're surgery? Good question! Was wondering about the same thing! I take two horse sized vitamins and some other capsules and pills.. I'll have to ask my surgeon -
Hi everyone, I'm getting sleeved on 12/9 and am wondering if anyone has had to get a filter that has these disorders.. I'm getting a filer and will be on lovenox.. I'm sad because I thought I was done with procedure -and most doc apt. And now I have to have a few more tests and go in to get the filter any input would be helpful! Thank you in advance!!

Omg I'm sorry to hear that.. I've never had a problem yet but my gma died and my dad al it's died from them.. They might put a filter in waiting to hear about that if not the same as you lovenox yes -

@@taniamatts my surgery was actually moved up to the 9th of December.. I have blood clotting disorders and my surgeon wanted to make sure all the docs I needed would be there just in case of complications being that the 30th is kinda like a holiday for most docs, but am excited none the less -

Ok I've been on this forum for a few months now, I was so excited about my sleeve! But I was reading through a thread on here where someone posted a "scale" of the percentage of weight loss,(height, weight and side effect of being overweight) I only hVe 20% chance of losing more than 80lbs.. So of course now I'm thinking bigger for more weight loss!?!? Anybody else feeling conflicted between the two? -

Yes thank you all, I met with my surgeon yesterday and we decided to go with the VSG, my surgery date is either dec.2nd or the the 9th.. Soo excited!!! -

I just met with my surgeon today, I was supposed to originally have my surgery dec. 30th buts since I have two blood clotting disorders they want to move it up to either the 2nd or the 9th.. My bday is the 11th. New year new beginnings can't wait! This is all pending my bosses approval of course -

Umm I don't know either I'm trying to figure this out as well -
My doctor told me two weeks for low impact jobs and 3 weeks for me because I'm a hairdresser and am on my feet all day, I wish I could've taken a month off, I feel I'll need it, but I also have to pay the bills as well:)
