  1. MY OPINION IS TO BUY VERY LITTLE. I BOUGHT SO MUCH STUFF AND SPENT QUITE A CHUNK OF MONEY AND ENDED UP WASTING THINGS THAT I COULDN'T STOMACH ETC. I'M NOT PICKY AT ALL SO I NEVER THOUGHT THAT WOULD HAPPEN BUT AFTER SURGERY SOMETIMES THERE ARE THINGS THAT YOU'D RATHER DIE THAN HAVE TO EAT. I THINK I ATE sugar free POSCICLES MORE THAN ANYTHING. BUT Soups, Gelatin, Powerade ZERO, SOME PEOPLE DO pudding, I DID A LOT OF COTTAGE cheese WITH sugar free Syrup IN IT. I WISH I HAD KNOWN RIGHT AFTER SURGERY WHAT I KNOW NOW. I PUT COTTAGE cheese, Peanut Butter, AND vanilla OR PLAIN Protein powder TOGETHER AND MIX IT UP, IT TASTES LIKE Peanut Butter COOKIE DOUGH, MY KIDS ACTUALLY EAT IT, AND I DO THE SAME WITH COTTAGE CHEESE AND chocolate Protein Powder WHICH TASTES LIKE chocolate CAKE BATTER, THAT MIXED WITH A LITTLE MILK WOULD HAVE BEEN A GREAT HELP TO ME AFTER SURGERY. I BOUGHT THE CLEAR Isopure drinks, HUGE WASTE OF MONEY, I COULD NOT DRINK THEM. REGULAR Protein shakes, PLAIN Protein Powder FOR YOUR SOUPS ETC. ONE WORD OF ADVICE IS TO TRY TO WATCH ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS IN ALL THIS STUFF. I SWEAR TO YOU THAT I WAS NOT USED TO SO MUCH ARTIFICIAL STUFF AND INGESTING SO MUCH OF IT POST OP THREW MY HORMONES AND CHEMICALS OFF SO BAD I THOUGHT I WAS LOSING MY MIND AND I GOT REALLY REALLY SICK. I ATTRIBUTE THAT TO ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS....ANYWAY I'LL QUIT RAMBLING... BEST WISHES :)

LIKE SAID ABOVE, IT PUSHES THE food THRU, MAKING YOU HUNGRIER FASTER, SOME EVEN SABOTAGE THEIR SURGERIES BY DRINKING WHILE EATING SO THAT THEY CAN ACTUALLY EAT MORE - I CAN'T IMAGINE DOING THAT BUT I'VE READ IT OVER AND OVER. I JUST MADE IT A STRICT RULE THAT I KNEW I HAD TO LIVE WITH AND NOW IT'S JUST LIFE, I DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT, I CAN USUALLY TELL WHEN IT'S BEEN ABOUT HALF AN HOUR AFTER FOOD AND THEN I DRINK, LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE REGARDING THIS SURGERY, YOU JUST GET USED TO IT.

I QUIT DRINKING coffee LONG BEFORE THE SURGERY BECAUSE IT WAS STRICTLY ADVISED DUE TO DEHYDRATION (LATER I READ THAT IT REALLY DOESN'T DEHYDRATE YOU THAT BAD BUT POST-OP YOU DON'T NEED ANYTHING CONTRIBUTING TO DEHYDRATION AT ALL). ANYWAY, I QUIT BECAUSE OF THAT AND BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO HAVE TO DROP IT COLD TURKEY IMMEDIATELY POST OP. I DID NOT DRINK COFFEE AT ALL UNTIL I WAS ABOUT 9 MONTHS OUT. I GUESS MY POINT IS THAT YOU BETTER JUST WORRY ABOUT GETTING IN THE Water ETC BEFORE YOU THINK ABOUT COFFEE LOL, SOMETIMES IT CAN BE A CHALLENGE IN THE BEGINNING FOR SOME.


  4. I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE EXACT STRAW WAS BUT ONE THAT STICKS OUT TO ME IS AFTER NOT GETTING TO EAT ALL DAY LONG AT WORK, I FINALLY GOT OUT SOME Peanut Butter AND CRACKERS. A CUSTOMER WHO WAS WALKING THRU WAS BEING AN ASS AND SAID, STOP EATING SO MUCH ALL THE TIME, I DON'T THINK I HAVE EVER BEEN SO PISSED, EMBARASSED, HURT, ANGRY, AND WELL, ENRAGED. I WANTED TO SHOW HIM A LESSON WITH THE BUTTER KNIFE THAT I WAS USING LOL. ANYWAY, JUST BECAUSE I WAS FAT DID NOT MEAN THAT I ATE ALL THE TIME. AS A MATTER OF FACT, ONE OF MY MISTAKES WAS NOT EATING ALL DAY AND THEN GORGING MYSELF WHEN I GOT HOME. BUT ANYWAY, I STILL WOULD LIKE TO PUNCH HIM IN THE THROAT FOR THAT.


  5. MY OPINION....DO NOT TELL. IT HAS MADE MY JOURNEY SO MUCH EASIER. I DO GET, HOW ARE YOU DOING IT? - I ANSWER VERY LOW CARB, Portion Control, EXERCISE. THEY ASK HOW MUCH WEIGHT (I HATE HATE HATE THAT) - I ALWAYS SAY I DON'T KNOW - WHICH IS NOT A LIE - MY WEIGHT FLUCTUATES ALL DAY LOL. MY CURRENT OR PAST WEIGHT ARE NONE OF ANYONE'S BUSINESS. I HAVE A WORRIER OR TWO IN MY FAMILY THAT THINK I'M STARVING MYSELF LIKE ANOTHER FAMILY MEMBER DID AND ALL I KNOW TO DO THERE IS TO ASSURE THEM THAT I'M NOT STUPID AND THAT IS DEFINATELY NOT WHAT I'M DOING. ANYWAY, THIS HAS BEEN SO STRESS FREE NOT HAVING QUESTIONS, LOOKS, JUDGEMENT, PRESSURE, GOSSIP, YOU NAME IT. OH AND I GET MORE COMPLIMENTS THAN ANYTHING, I SIMPLY ALWAYS ALWAYS SAY THANK YOU GRACEFULLY AND QUICKLY CHANGE THE SUBJECT TO THEM.


  6. @ Sophie74656 I TOTALLY AGREE WITH THE LAST PARAGRAPH YOU WROTE, I SAY THAT TO MY FIANCE ALL THE TIME. THIS IS HARD, THIS TAKES WORK, THIS TAKES SELF CONTROL, I COULD EAT ALL DAY LONG IF I WANTED TO AND EAT BAD THINGS AND GET RIGHT BACK IN THE SHAPE I STARTED IN....WE ALL COULD!!! PEOPLE THINKING THIS WAS CHEATING OR THE EASY WAY OUT SHOULD FEEL THE PAIN, NAUSEA, ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, ETC THAT I FELT FOR THE FIRST FEW MONTHS, AND THATS NOT THE HALF OF IT...ANYWAY I TOTALLY AGREE.


  7. @Bell1980 THAT IS SO FUNNY THAT YOU ASK IN TURN HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I MAY HAVE TO USE THAT SOMETIME. I'VE MOSTLY HAD VERY POSITIVE COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS ON MY WEIGHT LOSS AND NEW APPEARANCE. BUT DEPENDING ON THE PERSON INQUIRING SOMETIMES I FEEL IMPOSED UPON. I MEAN JUST BECAUSE I LOST WEIGHT DOESN'T MEAN THAT I WANT TO DISCUSS IT WITH JUST ANYONE. THIS HAS TOTALLY TAUGHT ME THAT WHEN I SEE SOMEONE WHO HAS LOST WEIGHT OR IMPROVED UPON THEMSELVES AT ALL THAT I'M JUST GOING TO TELL THEM HOW WONDERFUL THEY LOOK AND LEAVE IT AT THAT. WHAT THEY DID OR WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THEM IS NONE OF MY BUSINESS UNLESS THEY CHOOSE TO DISCUSS IT WITH ME. HOPE THINGS ARE GETTING BETTER FOR YOU....I COULDN'T TAKE IT...
