  1. guys, i woke up today so anxious and scared, i was crying. i can't wait for this wait to be over, and i don't even know if i'm going to be 10/21 or 10/28 yet. i called the insurance company yesterday to see if i've been approved yet and it's still pending. my mom just gave me grief on the phone that i "stressed her out" yesterday and i can't/don't want to deal with that. my birthday is friday and i want to spend it with her, my daughter, my boyfriend and as many of my cousins that can make it (at her house, cause everyone lives near her in brooklyn ny except me and my boyfriend in maryland). she's upset that i don't know exactly who is coming yet. geez, we're just ordering in pizza!!! now i feel lousy about her being upset, and i feel even worse that i don't want to have to care about her feelings right now. i want this to be all about me!

i'm babbling. i'm just having a bad day, and i want to go home and go back to bed until it's time for my surgery.

good luck to all who are getting sleeved today!

Calm down maybe you Celebrate before and not be in such a rush. .when is your b day. The day before my surgery I had to do a full bowel cleanse. I couldn't anything what so ever and couldn't be around anyone that's for certain. Do you know what your pre surgery requirement are I mean I didnt learn about the bowel cleanse until 2 days before surgery. I hope you feel better.

  3. Reading this thread was exhausting. I think some responses were in fact a little rude compassionless or harsh. Its all up to interpretation. @@waitingtoexhale I understand your struggle its going to be ok and thats what you needed to hear not that you were ill prepared for surgery and should rethink what you already worked so hard for. Ive been doing my preop diet for almost 4 weeks and I get food boredom I get anemic and I want to eat a bowl of Cereal something so harmless but because I dont know how small my liver needs to be and this is the optimal tine to take from work I have to smell it look at it then take a walk and think about the food and rationalize why not and keep telling myself it probably doesn't taste good or that it won't satisfy me. It works....They gave me up to 20 grams of carbs I can eat outside of veggies and meats and cheese. Everyday I pull up how much a simple chip or piece of bread will cost me and I act like the carbs is how much money I can spend and if the food will take all my money then its no good. Those are some of the mental games I have to play with myself to make It through. Almost to the finish line dont let your mind get to you.

  4. Ive done Atkins before and never felt that way after cutting carbs. The atkins was the same thing my doctor or asked me to do as a pre.op diet I just started it earlier. I can't take supplements according to hospital because of anesthesia concerns. They made me stop taking my Multivitamin and Vitamin D. I don't know im going to wait for the hospital to call back. My primary care doc told me to eat spinach since I couldn't take the pills

  5. So ive been on my Pre op diet for like 4 weeks. I had gained some weight and needed to get back down so I did Atkins induction. Today I wake up week as hell. Turns out I might have a Iron deficiency meaning my primary care doc will tell surgeon and I may not be able to have surgery if my numbers are too low or don't bounce back by time my clearance date which is Monday next week. I hope everything is OK. Has anyone experienced low iron and has it impacted your surgery.
