  1. Need some support/advice please. Had VSG on January 7, 2019. I’m 63 years and I’ve lost 33 pounds. I know it isn’t going to come off as quickly as those that are younger but it’s a struggle every day, as I’m sure many of you feel. Feels like I plateau for 2-3 weeks and then have a week where I lose 2 - 3 pounds. My question, concern is that I’m finding I don’t take little bites anymore, I’m devouring food and then I DELIBERATELY make myself throw up! This only happens at dinner time but I’m finding I’m doing it every day. Any support you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

  2. Me too! In December of 2007 I had lapband surgery. Lost over 80 lbs. but two yrs ago it stopped working. Gained back almost all of it :( Had it removed in Sept. Dr told me that is common after 10 yrs. looking forward to, but nervous about sleeve surgery. I’m almost 63 yrs old. Need to do something! I know it won’t be easy but I need to do something!

  3. I feel really stupid here........I'm not sure why or why not one needs a fill.

I've lost 50 lbs since my surgey on 12/26/07. At this time, I seem to be hungry all the time. I have 60-80 gr of Protein a day, drink at least 80 oz of liquids (mostly h2o) and just started waling 1.5 miles 3xs a wk, yet I feel I'm not losing as quickly as I should. Does that mean I need a fill? What does the DR require in order to get a fill? What does it cost? What are the side effects after getting one? Please advice, I have a Dr. appt. on April 1st and want to know what to do. Thaks so much!!!

  4. Was banded 3 wks ago. New Year's Eve had my 1st dairy products and I thought my stomach would explode. Dr. said might be lac. intolerant - try lactaid. Said I could still have cottage cheese, yogurt etc. I was fine until yesterday when once again I thought my stomach would explode. Does it go away or am I stuck w/ this forever? Any pills to take or just stay away from dairy altogether? Thanks for your help!

  5. Is it normal to be hungry? (5 days post-op) I admit physically I feel better than I have been. Yesterday was the first day I was able to consume 78g of protien (24oz liquid) and nothing else but about 32oz of H20. Today is the same, except I know I'm taking larger sips at a time (maybe a 1/2 tsp?) and I was able to finish the 8 oz protei:confused:n drink in less than a 1/2 hour. Oh yeah, I even had a lowfat yogurt! I think I'm ready for the "mushies" but don't know what to start with. Any suggestions???:scared:
