Thanks to all of you!! I feel better now, I was just so hurt and embarrassed I didn't want to be there anymore. Now I just keep the hope and know that I will be thin soon enough and I will feel so much better!!! Thanks to all and skinny on.....

So I am licensed by the Texas Lottery commision and I am a Bingo Caller! I love my job, I give away lots of money and make people happy! So I deal with A Lot of people, including a lot of overweight people. So I have this women that plays bingo, and has for years! Always feels compelled to say to me, " you're getting sooo FAT!" The first time she said it to me I was crushed and didn't know what to say. She has said this sort of thing a few times over the years and I am just floored! I just go and cry. So last night at work was by a different lady that has also been a long time customer, comes up to me and says, " YOURE GETTIN SO FAT, YOURE GETTIN UGLY!" I mean what do you say to that! Ok so let me stop and tell you the real shocker of it all, my coworkers are ALL WAYYY bigger then me, one weighs about 400 lbs, another one is about 350 lbs, my boss is about 200lbs, another one is about 200lbs. So! Tell me, why me? Why am I the one that gets all of the flack. I just went to the office and cried, I just can't wait to get my surgery done and start loosing and having the last laugh!

Money and only money has been my hold up! So this year I decided that........every year I spend my income tax on everyone else and everything else, that it's my turn and I'm spending it on me! So that's why I've had to wait so long, Plus I had to save the rest of the money. I will be paying it in-full the first week in February !!!!! Can't wait!!! Yeyyyyy!!!!!!

I am ready too!! My mother had the lap- band done 7 years ago and I really thought that's what I was going to do( when I could come up with the money) but a year ago I started saving and discovered that the sleeve was the one and only for me! So here we go........ I live in south texas almost to huntsville texas but I am having my surgery done in Dallas tx. Can't wait!!!!! Yeyyyyyyyyyyy!!!! Keep in touch and we can be a support team!

Just to say, my mother had the lap-band put in 7 years ago and she struggles everyday with it and she has to pay a fee every time she needs a "fill" she now wants the sleeve. My doctor told me he does 3 revisions a week. So that is pretty telling if you ask me, I originally wanted the band also but then did my homework and The Sleeve It Is! So good luck and be well!

Be happy that's all you're paying, you could be paying all of it like me 12,500 cash and in other places up to 26,000 in cash. Wheww wee! Just be HAPPY

Mexico is a great option to go with. The only way I was going to have surgery was cash pay also. Mexico has some really great doctors that will do it for a reasonable price so you might want to check into it.

I've seen so many pictures of different people and most look a lot younger.

Dr Alverez on border of Eagelpass Tx and Negras Pedras ,mexico. They quoted me 8,500.00. Just look him up he's real popular and speaks English and his nurse susan lives in the states. Hope that helps

I haven't had surgery yet but I don't think I ever want to eat bread! I have a problem with bread already as a "big stomach" person, lol...so I could just imagine eating it after having gastric sleeve surgery. Wheww wee that's a nightmare I don't want to come true!!!! Lol

Go for it!! I myself only have 60lbs to loose but I know it's a matter of my health. So I decided to cash pay and get it done, I know it will be the best thing to happen for me. I'm go in march 11 2015! Yeyy!!

Yeyy you!!! I was going to have surgery with dr alverez on March 10th but then decided to go with Dr clayton frenzel in arlington Texas because I am also from Texas!!! So my surgery is on march 11 2015. (2months 8 days) yeyy I can't wait to get this started. Well good luck and I'll pray for you

I am so sorry that you have to do this alone! When I read your post I looked to see where you live but Texas and Alaska are just too far apart, or I would go with you. I was going to have my surgery in mexico also, but decided to stay here in the state. I wish you all the luck and joy on your journey, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers ...

I would like to thank those of you who understand my position and others just like me. I have the fat genes and have fought my weight forever! Being 5'00 @ 170 is just as bad as being 5'5 @ 235 lbs. fat is fat and it all sucks for every one of us. I no longer want to be sick nore do I want to yo yo diet anymore. I am following in my mothers foot steps, (who at 300lbs had the lapband 7 yrs ago) and I want to take care of this for once and for all before I end up at 300lbs with a whole other list of problems. So thank you for your support,as I support everyone of you in this journey! We are all in this together!

That's right!! If you don't have all of the facts, watch what you say about others " abusing WLS" pleeeeaaassee! Give me a break! You don't know my story, even though I'm only 60 lbs over weight doesn't mean I'm not sick. I have high blood pressure, sleep apnea, asthma, joint pain in ankles( from carrying that extra 60 lbs) and plain and simple my 5'00 ft frame just can't handle this extra weight! So mind your own business and know your facts before making a broad spectrum of a statement trying to get a riot started, cause you just might not like it!

Well I am in the same boat as you, I weigh 170 butttt I am only 5' tall so I look about your size so I know how you feel!! I am not super obese but over weight enough to have high blood pressure. Everyone tells me I'm not big enough for the surgery but they don't know what I'm really supposed to look like. I have tried so many times, so many years, to loose weight, So I know how you feel. The route I decided to take was Cash Pay, I know this is not the most favorite way to have the Surgery but cash pay is the best way to go when your on the "smaller size" , that way you have more control.
