    What’s Your Best Food Swap?

I really miss bread but I try to substitute it for other things. Like instead of just a regular Philly steak I make Philly steak stuffed bell peppers.

    Aetna Insurance

I had a hard time with Aetna as well, but I guess in the end it was my fault. I gained weight during the 3 month process and got denied and had to go through their external review appeal process which I ended up winning. Hopefully your process will go smooth. Good luck!

    Time off work

I had about 11 days off but I have a desk job. I think you would need at a few weeks and there are lifting restrictions so you should discuss this with your surgeon.

    Insurance approval

lmao ok but what exactly do I say to them You can just call and tell them you are checking on the status of your VSG approval. My insurance called it pre-certification.
  17. We have very similar stories. My heaviest weight was 295. When I saw that number on the scale its like my heart dropped. I was able to lose about around 60 pounds on my own but gained it all back. I was 287 the day of surgery on Oct 22. 2015. I have no regrets and although I feel like I've been a slow loser I am happy with my progress. Good luck on your journey. Keep us posted.

    Insurance approval

    Aetna- 3 month process

Sorry, didn't see your question. Your 3 months start when you see your dietician.

    Aetna- 3 month process

I went through Aetna. I was eligible for surgery due to BMI, etc. But had to go through three month process. Once completed the surgeons office will submit your information to Aetna and Aetna will approve or deny. If you follow the criteria and do not gain any weight during the process you should be fine.

    Aetna- 3 month process

So you got approved before doing the 3 month supervised diet program?
