  1. I've been sad, frustrated and starving since being sleeved on 09/25/14. I also feel that the fun part of my life is over. I never feel my best, always weak and just overall not happy. I continue to obsess about food (or lack there of) and feel that I made a mistake. I'm in constant prayer hoping things will get better.

  2. I'm actually in the process of writing a blog post right now showing a day in the life of my "diet" 1 year post op. I have it updated with pics through afternoon snack with nutrition facts included (amt of Protein, carbs, etc.). Just need to add dinner tonight. lol. Link is in my signature if you want to take a peek.

I just read your entire blog...from the beginning. It's amazing. Thank you. I'm 8 days post-op and so grateful to know what I'm feeling is normal (sadness, food withdrawal, emotional roller coaster). You inspire me. Thank you!

  3. @@TheBlissfulNatural My surgery was on 9/24 and I found the first 3 days or so pretty rough. I slept a lot, was in a good amount of pain and had no desire to eat or drink anything. I'm still feeling weak but I'm relaxing and taking it easy. I hear that about a month out, energy is back and higher than before. My issue now is that I really want to eat and have another week or so until I move to soft food. This liquid diet is for the birds! Hang in there, it sucks but it's a means to an end.

Thanks so much! I'm totally feeling the same way about food. Lol. I've been drooling over the Food Network all day. I want to eat. This Tomato Soup is not cutting it. I move to soft food in TWO weeks!

  4. @@TheBlissfulNatural It will get better. The first week after surgery, it hurt every time I took a swallow and I had a hard time getting in fluids too. You won't feel miserable for long. I'm still not getting in 64 oz but I'm getting in more and more each day and I'm 2.5 weeks out. It's a big change to accomplish a big change! You can do this and when you look back in a couple of months, you'll be able to smile about the early frustrations.

    Thank you so much.

  5. Sleeved 09/25/14. Honestly speaking, I feel like HELL. I've never been there but I'm sure this is close. I have no energy or motivation and just overall feel like crap. Barely getting my 40g of Protein in and let's not talk about Water. My family already saying "you're so sad" but how can I be happy when I feel miserable. I don't have the energy to walk. Please tell me I'm going to feel better soon. This was not the recovery I was hoping for....I was sooooo eager and happy for the surgery date to get here, but have been in the dumps every since.

  6. I ate food today

I felt pretty low energy and weak all day.

Got on the interstate to go get my son everything got blurry and pixelated pulled over try to get it together could not see through the blurr pulled off the next exit grabbed a burger and tea from McDonald's. I'm really tired but I feel better. I feel sad that I had to do that

(((Hugs)))) it's okay. Call your NUT tomorrow and ask if they could provide recommendations to help you get through...
