Thanks Bobby46:) that's exactly what I was looking for. I don't think I'm eating enough.
For Breakfast : premier Protein shake
For lunch: a few bites of chicken
Dinner: Beans with a few bites of chicken. I get full with just 3 bites. I also don't drink enough Water, I'm lucky if I can drink 30 oz a day. I don't snack because I don't get hungry.

Hey guys I'm 6 weeks post op. I'm having a hard time with meal planning. Can someone please share what a typical day of food consumption is like for them. I don't even know how many calories I'm eating daily. Stuck @ 206 for a week now.

My surgery is scheduled for 10 am. I am having the gastric sleeve .My doctor is Dr. Goyal from nj bariatric...I am so nervous right now all I keep asking myself do you really want to do this?? I have never had any type of surgery in my 31 years of life. OMG I hope I have the guts to go though with it

Yeah I can totally relate:) I had the same problem. I can honestly say that these 6 months flew by. Don't worry you will get approve:)

I have UHC Oxford, they did not require a 5 year weight history. All I had to do was be on a 6 months weight loss program . I had other testing done but that was just my surgeon's requirements. I think your doctors office will know what they need to do to get you approved. Best of luck on getting your approval.

Thank you:) I wasn't asked by my doctor to do it, but started one on my own . I have been doing it for 6 day's. Just want to make sure I get my body used to it. I also want to lose as much as possible before the surgery. Current weight is 229. My goal weight is 135-140.

Just received the good news that I'm approved:) so happy and a little nervous. So my official date is October second:) 8 days and I will be on the losers bench.

Wow congrats on your approval:) I'm just nervous because I was scheduled for October second, I already made all the arrangements to take time off from work and who will watch the kids... Just need to hear the magic words. YOU ARE APPROVED

Well.....six months of waiting has finally come to an end:) My doctors office has submitted all the paperwork to my insurance company. I'm so nervous right now. All I can do is be positive and hope that they approve me. I'm 233 pounds and my height is 5'4 so I'm just there with the 40 bmi. I have zero health problems. Hence why I'm so worried that I won't be approved. How ever I do want this with all my heart!!! I believe in the power of good thoughts bring positive things. I'm just finding it hard right now to stay positive:(

Hi everyone! This is my first post.. I'm hoping that my surgery is in October. My insurance required the 6 month supervised with a weight loss specialist . I have completed all of the pre-op test that were required by my physician. My last visit with him is on the 18th. I hope to get my date then. I'm so nervous and lately all I can do is think about the surgery and how things will finally change for me!

I weight myself daily. When I wake up. I track my weight ounce a week on an excel spreadsheet. I also take photos of myself on my anniversary date which is the second of every month. It does not bother me if the scale shows I gained a few pounds. I know I didn't eat an extra 3500 calories the day before. That is what works for me
Starting weight:242
Current weight:158
