Apprehension about General Anesthesia
It's normal to worry but you will be fine! I've had 4 surgeries. One time I even had a dream and woke up thinking I had a nap!

Terrified: Eating too much 3 1/2 week out?
I am 6 weeks out and I could eat 1100 Cals if I tried. I am satisfied with 700-800 mostly. I took some adjustment buy you need to change your expectations from feeling full to feeling satisfied. Also, it seems like you have a similar plan..... Solids after 3 weeks? I had that too and am just fine. Good luck and let us know how you are doing.

How much my sleeve holds
That article was such a great description of how our new stomach works. I was told that a correctly created sleeve does not stretch - it is other behaviors that lead to failure or regain. I loved that article because it described how you can fail and that is what I want to know!

Considering revision to sleeve from band
I had the band and gerd and I had a hernia repair and sleeve done after my band was removed in April. My gerd is gone. I will try to stop taking a PPI at 3 months. I am 6 weeks out now.

Small children and recovery
Active with kids was big reason for me too. I threw out my back the week after surgery. I wasn't feeling "fine" for a few weeks but I think you will be surprised at how quickly you will be in the swing of things.

Small children and recovery
I have a 3 year old and 5 year old. Within a few days you will be fine for playing and snuggling. Not lifting for about a month. 6 weeks later my stamina is just returning. Do you have help? Would you be alone with them all day? It is much harder to plan and eat healthily taking care of kids so young. I am finding though that I buy and cook more healthy foods now which is a huge benefit for my kids.

How much weight loss first 3wks
That does't really answer the question that OP had. I don't agree that weighing once a month is the best solution for everyone. For me personally this is how I regained after the lap band failure I had. I stopped weighing daily and was able to trick myself into thinking I could "make up" my cheats before my next weigh -in. Now I am back to daily weighing and losing. OP - I lost about 19-20lbs . Stalled after that for about 2 weeks and then resumed at 1 1/2 to 2 lbs per week. and now almost 25 lbs down

Salmon
I had a very small amount on puree's I was allowed flaked fish. I had zero problems with it. I ate it with pureed sautéed spinach and it was delicious.

Breaking the stall and other calorie/carb questions.
Do you think it works? I feel like I would like to maximize my weight loss in these first few months.

What does it feel like to have the sleeve v. band?
I am eating 700-800 calories a day at 6 weeks out. I am getting 60-80 grams of protein on a regular basis. My energy is coming back but I find I bottom out really quickly if I don't eat. I do have hunger but I can pretty easily satisfy it with 700 -800 calories.

Breaking the stall and other calorie/carb questions.
So I stalled about 2/12 weeks out for 2 weeks. THe past 2 weeks and a half I am back to losing 1 1/2 -2lbs per week. Is it coincidence that in these same two weeks my calories are up to 700-800? On that same note my carbs are really low usually under 30 … mostly I get them from milk. Do you think it is worth experimenting by bringing my carbs up closer to 50? Or, maybe alternating a low and higher carb days? I would love to see slightly higher losses although I am satisfied with just any loss! Hard to believe I am only 6 weeks out! My nutritionist said that she doesn't think I should be counting carbs or calories just tracking Protein but I am too worried this early on to take that advice. Once I am more confident I think I will stop tracking everything every day.

Any Band to Sleeve Success Stories Out There?!?
So this is my opinion for what it is worth. I am almost 6 weeks out down almost 25lbs. The band wasn't easy for me but I lost 100% of my excess weigh in about 10 months. This isn't easy either. I still need to watch what I eat and follow the diet but all of the awful things about the band like the vomiting are absolutely gone for me. I have tolerated everything with no problem, never once had a problem. If I eat too much I am uncomfortable but that is it. You are going to find success and failures in any of these surgeries. It is going to be what you make it and nothing more or less. good luck!

Can you travel the same week you get the sleeve?
I think you could travel. I don't think you will feel like a vacation at that point. Seems like a waste.

Inspiration for the 3 month and under folks...
I'm 5 weeks out and it hasn't exactly been a stall but it's like 1/2 every 5 days. Thanks for your post and I'll hope it picks up soon! I was naturally doing about 650 until this past week and now I'm up to about 750/800.

3 week update for those thinking about a revision
I think a lot of the answer to that is going to be up to you. I've lost about 20lbs since surgery day at 5 weeks but I see that it takes work. Exercise and log every bite. This isn't going to be a quick fix.

June 30th Sleevers?
Don't pack it! Aren't you going on a cruise? Go and have fun and leave the stress at home. Just remember protein first and very little carbs and your sleeve will keep you from over doing it.In fact- take your measurements now and when you come back take them again so you can see that those ounces add up in inches! It will also give you the scale and your measurements to look forward to when you come home! Measurements are a good idea! I'd like to relax but I wish the scale would move faster - was hoping to be down a few more lbs before I go away in 2 weeks. It isn't a cruise just a lake house with my 2 kids and husband, so I could bring my scale I will bring my food scale in any case. Does it seem to you that I am eating a lot? I find it hard to get the protein in without the calories! Obviously!

June 30th Sleevers?
Hi All, I am feeling a bit down. I lost 20lbs in about 3 weeks and since then it has been creeping down a few ounces at a time! I feel so impatient. I can eat anything now and have been sticking to small quantities and calories around 700 mark with usually 70grams of protein. How are you guys doing? Keep waiting for the scale to pick up again. I am going away for 2 weeks at the end of August WITHOUT my scale. Wondering if I should pack it I don't know how I will make it that long without weighing...

3+years out milestone?
I "ballooned" because my lap band wasn't working = zero restriction. This won't happen to you with the sleeve - it is a totally different experience.

My fitness pal problems. Anyone struggle with this ap?
Does anyone find it full of bugs? Right now it isn't syncing right and the iPhone ap only has tonight's entries and none of my entries for the past month! Meanwhile the website still has everything….

3+years out milestone?
All what you said makes a ton of sense. You have a great therapist. I do think I was incredibly motivated by the scale going down and as long I was able to stay in my routine I did great and maintained. Re-losing the re-gained weight was less motivating since I was feeling so bad about it to begin with. Also the 2 small children made my austere exercise-centric lifestyle hard to manage.
