I only got in 2 oz of strawberry low fat yogurt, 2 oz of G2, 2oz of broth with a quarter scoop of protein and 6oz of water. Not even close to the recommended daily protein or fluid intake. Don't know how I'm gonna do this. I don't wanna eat or drink at all. Never thought I'd hate the idea of food and drink so much. I don't even know how to tell if I'm full cuz I constantly feel full and I'm force feeding myself. Thought I was doing good this morning until I realized how little I consumed. Hope tomorrow is better.I feel the same way - it's like I feel so bloated I may pop! Question: do yall get over heated really quickly? And does anyone feel pain when the take a deep breath? I feel pain with deep breath and coughing. I thought it might be my hernia repair.

I did one shake today. I really can't do another. I added some Greek yogurt to some butternut squash soup but I am still short on protein today.

Anyone have a tip for making them less foamy?

Am I the only one? No problems drinking?so many posts talk about how hard it is to get fluid in post op but I'm having an easy time if just sip

What are you guys eating? All I have done so far is G2 and a few bites of yogurt today. The nausea was bad until about now. I think I'll have to try and eat something now since I'm at home. Maybe some Greek yogurt.

Surgery on 6/30 a few bumps but being discharged today. Still battling nausea. How long did yours last? Need some hope here!

I went for my pre-op testing this morning. Surgery 6/30 yay! Anyway the tech who did my EKG was very heavy and she told me that she had researched the sleeve and even started the process and then got scared so she backed out. She then proceeded to ask me if I had heard of the procedure where "they don't cut you" and I should see if my insurance covers it! I was astounded because 1) she should NOT be counseling about procedures to patients just DAYS from surgery and 2) the first one. Anyway I am well-educated about surgery and bariatrics in general having been undergone a previous surgery and researching for almost 10 years now but seriously can you believe? Thankfully I don't scare easily but if I had been super nervous about my surgery and a "nurse" in scrubs told me to consider (what I know is plication) I would be freaking now.

Any Band to Sleeve Success Stories Out There?!?
Bndtoslv replied to lisaluvsgreys's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
On this particular board there are people who are having a harder time with revision but on this site on while there are a ton of success stories. I think some surgeons can't make a properly shaped sleeve with a revision and some can. This is a question I would ask. I'm also worried about this and my surgeon only does 2 part surgeries specifically because of the issue with scar tissue after the removal. I had to wait several months and am going Tuesday for the sleeve. Will let you know! -

Band to sleeve revision?
Bndtoslv replied to breepad08's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I'm doing it Tuesday! Had band out after almost 8 years in April. I had lost all my weight then had a ton of problems like you described. Gained over past 3 years. Feels crappy to be here again but I am grateful to have another chance. -

Band to Sleeve GRIPE...feeling down and frustrated :(
Bndtoslv replied to Just Lindsey's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I've never heard of the sleeve being bigger at the top because of the band. Has anyone else been told they would have a different shape if a revision? -
Band to sleeve patients- how did you feel about the liquid/purée/soft food progression this time? I keep reading posts about how this is the hardest part of the surgery and I think that I did this already and it wasn't so bad. Also with each adjustment (I had at least 20 over 8 years) I did liquids/soft for a few days. Granted my liquid will only be one week and soft foods 2 more then I'm phasing in solids. I'm wondering if my perspective is correct... Not so bad right?
-
Oddly my post op diet is the same for both surgeries with ONE exception - last time I went right to purees out the hospital and did 3 weeks of that and soft foods. This time I am doing one week of full liquids out of the hospital and then 2 more weeks of purees and soft foods before and then at 3 weeks out I start transitioning to solids.

Great thanks! 14th Floor is the better floor - did you have your own room? How many days were you there? How were the nurses? Dr. Dakin is Dr. Pomp's partner and very nice. -
From Lap-Band to Sleeve......
Bndtoslv replied to Crybaby's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi there. I'm doing this surgery soon. Was your starting weigh lower this time? Yes It was my weight was lower at the point of converting from the band to the sleeve. That probably is why you are taking longer to lose this time. I know that there is a thought out there that revision patients lose more slowly but as long as the surgery is done correctly I don't see why it should. Your BMI must have been below 40 and if you have lost 45 lbs that is pretty great - almost 8lbs a month! Why do you think that losing is harder with the sleeve? I worry that I learned really bad eating habits with my band - like ways to cope with not being able to eat healthy food so I wonder if that will happen to me. -

Hi Twitty! Dr. Pomp. He did my band, a hernia repair later on and my band removal in April. Who was your surgeon? Which floor did they take you to? I know that there are 2 surgical floors and I have been trying to figure out if I will go to the good one or the bad one How was your experience and how are things going? -
