  1. I'm also 3wks post surgery & HONESTLY because of the many posts that I have read regarding eggs- I have just avoided them thus far. I was never a big scrambled egg eater but I do love boiled eggs and I figured I will just wait possibly another week before I give eggs period a shot.

How's EVERYONE doing (newbies) doing w/ getting all your Protein & liquids in??? I'm struggling honestly!!!

  2. I'm having the same kind of slow weight loss. Was sleeved 7/24 and down 20 from date of surgery, 27 overall. Lost 7 pounds on my crash diet days before surgery. I dropped most of my weight the first week. Since then it's been stall, lose a pound, stall, lose a pound...repeat. Very frustrating. I hit my Protein and Water goal daily. Was getting between 650 and 800 calories a day and also working out 3 to 4 times a week and still stalling. Oh, and the one day I had gained 2 pounds! Yesterday I upped my calories to almost 900 and was down a pound this morning. Was this the answer or would I have lost even more if I didn't up the calories? We'll never know. Trying the more calories for the rest of the week and we'll see what happens. If I gain, it won't be the first time.

How the heck are you able to get your liquids down??? I'm 3 weeks post & I struggle a lot w/ getting all my protein & fluids in. I find myself getting frustrated and wondering if I made the correct decision. I had a couple of really bad mental battles with myself. I can relate to what a lot of the posts are saying b/c I at times really feel lost. I do get down about weight-loss not being great but I think I get even more down because I'm trying to figure out how to get all of my protein and as well as my liquids as well as staying under the calorie count, taking all the Vitamins, etc-----at times it becomes very difficult.

  3. Go to Costco's or Sam and get the premix Premier Protein. Drink apple juice/White grapes juice with a little Water in it this will help you with the diarrhea. Hope this helps you and I hope you're feeling better.

Big thanks--- my diarrhea has subsided some! Now I'm just adjusting! This is week two (day 9)- I still have some pain that I'm dealing with. I'm also trying to figure out why I'm hungry often! I drink the Isopure Protein Drinks (fruit Punch & apple melon) it's not bad when I mix w/ water. I'm scared to weigh myself so I have opted not to do so until my 2 wk f/u this Friday! I'm grateful for this site b/c I'm able to read others experiences & get encouragement --- my emotions are all over the place. THANKS AGAIN!!!!

  4. Omg GenaH, I have the same thing happening with me. I was sleeved 8/26 and find it difficult to walk and get in exercise with that pain. I didn't know if a little twist or the wrong step will bring that pain back. I put ice on it. That seemed to help a little. I didn't want to still be on my pain meds but I am realizing that I might have to take them daily for the me t week just so I can get through. Good luck everyone and thank you for sharing. It is really helpful.

I was sleeved 8/25/14 & I too have been in great pain & my breathing has been off too. I try to walk around the house & @ times it work but other times it does not! I also had my gallbladder removed & a hernia repair! So I'm thinking it will take me a lil longer to heal..... My pain is ok for the most part except The area where they pulled the extra stomach out of- that hurt beyond words!! Reading others experiences have been helpful

  5. Hold on everyone! It gets better! I am 3.5 months out and have experienced almost all of the above. After about the first 4 weeks you will really start to feel normal again. Especially after you start eating regular food. (For me about 6-8 weeks) the cramping and spasms first days out are normal happened to me and my surgeon kept assuring me it would get better and it did. The "hard" spot under your incision is most likely the sutures they use underneath I had the same thing as well. And they dissolve. I doubted myself in those first couple if weeks but boy am I glad I did it. I am 70 lbs lighter now and fit into a size 10. All my weight related issues have gone away and life is great. Hang in there!!!! ❤️

Thanks for the encouraging words! I've been doubting myself a bit

  6. I was sleeved two weeks ago.

This site is very NEW to me... Still trying to learn how this works! It's been difficulty getting my Protein in & I've been experiencing diarrhea since trying some diluted mashed potatoes. I'm hungry most of the time because the liquids are currently going through me. I think I am allergic to the whey in the iso-pure because it makes my throat itch. I'm going to give the iso-pure Protein liquid a try by putting it in some Water to dilute it. I feel weak a lot of the time. The biggest thing is to try to get down my liquids every day

  7. I have intense cramps when I drink anything warm, cold or room temp. I've started passing gas other than just burping (sorry, I know that is a lot of info) and I have had bm's. But every time I drink and sometimes even when I'm not drinking I get these intense cramps that last for a few seconds and they're gone. Also, the incision where they pulled out the stomach has a bit of an indenture and my surgeon said for me to rub it - it's very tender and "hard" feeling... I'm starting to have those "WTH have I done to myself: thoughts. I want to be thankful, but I feel week and yucky and can't get in even half of the liquid/protein I need to - IDK what to do... It's Sunday and tomorrow is a holiday, I'm not sure I can get in contact with anyone at the dr. office. It was SO much better in the hospital except that the dilauded was making me itch so bad I was clawing myself to pieces. Did anyone else have any of these problems? Ugh... I need some encouraging words...

I'm feeling EXACT SAME WAY after having my sleeve 8/25/14
