  1. Ditto and if you go in person you will know you have it and will be able to stop stressing!!
  2. In the past though I have tended to play team sports and could run on a bball court for ages and those dance classes were intense workouts. I was doing at least 5 hours a week dancing and 2 hours bball and I was very fit! But have me run a 3 k fun run and I struggled...go figure! I'll be giving it a red hot go once I lose enough for it to be comfortable and after I've bought a good sports bra!:w00t:
  3. Glad to hear you are feeling better Hope!! I think we are all bound to have those thoughts at some points along our journey. The good thing will be that we can come on and get the boost or kick in the right direction!! Kids come out with the funniest things. And they suprise me sometimes how perceptive they can be and that weight loss is awesome! Well done And keep focusing on the positives!!
  4. Sorry you've been feeling crappy Ichatter but it seems you have made it through the worst of it!! I totally understand the staying medicated and sleep manner of dealing with feeling crappy!!...I will definitely keep this post in mind if I am having difficulty with the pains!!
  5. HEhehe i will probably be spending a bit of time in the loo I guess when I get back to work! I have a very open plan office which sucks!
  6. I agree you definitely should post this in the pre op section, sometimes being forewarned saves a LOT of angst!! Glad to hear you were able to cope ok and I hope you aren't in pain for too much longer!
  7. Man that sucks Lisa!! I hope you bounce back quickly and it is good that you have recovered your sense of humour! It is amazing how laughing at crappy situations can ease the stress!

  18. OMG!!! That is amazing. I wish I could be a motivated runner...I have NEVER been a runner even when I was REALLY FIT dancing 3 times a week and bball 2 times a week! I wonder how you can train yourself to be one!?
  19. My preop diet is 2 weeks LONG! and I am doing Optifast (which pretty well tells you what to do in the booklet that is handed out with it) I only like the Optifast chocolate shake or the berry bar, I think the soup is disgusting! SO it basically involves three optifast products per day, 1 fruit and 2 cups of Vegies in Total! Breakfast: Opifast Shake, Bar or soup Morning Tea: Approved Fruit, ie Apple, Orange (NO BANANA) Lunch: Opifast Shake, Bar or soup Afternoon Tea: 1 cup of approved vegies OR Opifast Shake, Bar or soup Dinner: Opifast Shake, Bar or soup OR your 2 cups of approved vegies (i.e as a soup) Approved Vegies only, No Potato, pumpkin, Sweet potato, Carrot Approved fruit only, NO banana As much diet Jello as you want Tea coffee, Diet soft drink, diet cordial, (NO FRUIT JUICE) I am actually starting on Saturday (5 days early)

  22. GOALS - To LISTEN to my band and work with it! - To make healthy food choices - To excercise at least 4 times a week between 1/2 an hour and an hour no excuses!! (even if I have to build up to it, I have the weights and the treadmill (though i am too heavy to use it currently...wish I'd read that on the label before I bought it!!) (Maybe I'll even restart swimming laps again when I feel happy enough to wear a swimsuit  ) - To feel better about myself REWARDS - To buy some trendy clothes when i have lost enough weight to be able to walk into the stores I want to shop in and buy off the rack! - To buy some cute underwear! - To go out and enjoy life happy in myself!! (and find myself a man!)
  23. Welcome Julie! I am very glad I found this place it has provided me with hours of reading that has informed me a lot better about living with the band than anywhere else!! And has made me certain I am making the perfect choice.
