    Help liquid diet

I was told no food, no chewing. Your intestines need to be cleared out.

    Dump syndrome?

Fake sugars for me. Real sugar does not affect me.

    I need help

I think we could all use financial help with plastic surgery.
  5. I am 3 months post op and only reach around 550 calories a day. I've lost 71 pounds so far. My nut says it is because I'm not shoveling the food in like many people do. I do not eat processed at all. All natural foods, 5, 1/3 cup meals a day.
  6. Yes. I would have done it much sooner.

That ball you felt is over eating.

    It can't be just me

Yep. I hate food. Nothing about having to eat is fun or exciting. It takes up to much time to have to eat. Forcing myself to eat only makes my hate it more. If I actually got hungry, then it would make it easier. Till then food sucks.

    The Slow Losers Thread

    Pulled/torn abdomen muscles!

Sounds like me after both my c- sections. You need to keep those muscles relax so they can heal. Hot bubble baths are awesome too.

How long will I be down and out?

I have not been able to go out in about longer than about 45 minutes. I get anxiety and exhausted around that 45 minute mark. I think everyone is very different.

    3 weeks post op

It gets better once your on full foods. Remember that you still have internal swelling. It really does get better all around.
  13. I am only 7 weeks post op so I only know me up to that timeline. But I have noticed that when I get about 45 grams of protein and at least 60oz of water I loose nearly a pound everyday. On my days when I lack my water the scale does not move. I only drink water and fresh lemon sometimes. I do not drink real sugar or pretend sugars at all. At the grocery they have protein pack style lunchables, I just buy applegate brand deli meat and recreate my own. 1oz each lunch meat, cheese, and almonds. I have 2 of these a day and deviled egg for breakfast, and mainly veggies with a little flavorless protein for dinner. Change things up and see what happens. Remember every body is different so you can not compare yourself to others.
  14. Two nights and my doc kept me on a pain med drop the whole time.
  15. I'm am 4 weeks post op. I've lost 45 pounds and I haven't had any issues. Just remember to pick up a stool softener and power form fiber. It seems to be the one thing that's forgotten.

    Surgery Day

I had my surgery this morning around 7:30am. So far everything is great and I'm not having any issues. I also met a lady that is a member on here that had her surgery today too. Hope I've found a new long term friend
  17. I am 14 days post op and tried to ride my bike today and was still to soar to ride. I am going stir crazy taking it easy. I was an active person before surgery and now I am feeling stuck and held down.

    Just going stir crazy

@@Beni, I am going to bed at 7pm too. But I wake up ready to start my day a 3am and then I'm ready for bed again at 6am. I know with time I will find my new normal, just wishing for some instant gratification.
  19. I am two weeks post op. Congratulations on your new beginning. Everything will slowly come into perspective with time. As for sleeping, omg, I missed my hospital bed for the first few days too. Don't worry about tomorrows, just work on getting through todays. My pain has faded into a little soarness. I'm currently sleeping in a tomb of pillows to keep comfy. Keep trying till you find your comfy spot.

    How about some NSVs!?!?

I am only 14 days post op but I sat in my favorite chair on my front porch and didn't have to hold it down when I got up to keep it from being stuck to me.

    Guilty for considering surgery?

Depending on which surgery you are having, you will not feel hunger at all or like you do now. You will not be able to fit very much food in either. The hard part is your brain. You have to change, bottom line. I am 11 days post op for by pass. I do not feel hunger, ever. But I had a moment and went looking for junk food. Only to remember those foods are out.

Keeping it a secret? Anyone else

It was pretty easy for me because my only living family is a sister and a husband. But I decided to not share with friends or anyone else. No matter who they are to you, people seem to think crappy opinions need to be dished out. I've had one negative person comment already about my weight lose and I just said, I've taken action to lose weight and be healthier.

5 days post op. Want real food!

I'm 8 days post op and have no feeling of need for food. I don't feel hunger or cravings. All I want is water and tea. I do have to eat 4 times a day. I've become intolerant to the protein mix, so I have to try it once a week for awhile in hope that I will stop vomiting it.
  24. My doc has ordered me on a 14 day high protein liquid diet. I'm to drink 4-5 special shakes a day and stay within 700-900 calories and 50 carbs. Then the day before surgery, which is the 15th day, only clear fluids, no orange or reds. So far I am 8 days in and feel near death.
