I have my first appointment with my surgeon tomorrow and I don't know exactly what to ask him. I will also be getting banded through the Kane Center out of Alexian Brothers. I have my initial appointment with Dr. Kane Jr. on Jan. 15th. Even though I had to schedule my appointment a month after the seminar, they got back to me within a week to let me know what portion of the surgery my insurance would pay. So far I've been very impressed with their team.

First I want to say I think this forum is absolutely awesome. I had no idea there were so many people out there who have been banded. I just had my first child Matthew 3 months ago. I've been considering getting banded for some time but since Matt was born I've put my efforts into high gear. I've signed up to attend a seminar in my area. My problem is convincing my wife that this is a good idea. My BMI is currently 53 and I don't see many other options. Any ideas??
