How much food could you consume 6 months post op?
I am eating more now than I did before. You'll be surprised what 4 oz. holds...it's not a lot!

How many of you continue the shakes in your diet after many months after surgery?
I am not crazy about shakes but will see if my weight drops easier if I do shakes in the AM. Some days I do better than others but with hair falling out at a record rate I have to get that protein level up!

How many of you continue the shakes in your diet after many months after surgery?
I continue to have a battle balancing calories while trying to make sure that I get at least 60 grams of protein. I may at times don't even get up there all with food from morning to night. I try to stay at 800 calories but it gets tricky with calories and carbs. So I brought shakes to start drinking them in the morning. Any suggestions? I am 4 1/2 months out.

Congrats to you for getting the sleeve! It's a great choice. I was sleeved 3 months ago and so far so good!! I hope you have a speedy recovery.- Hundred pound weight loss
Beautiful! Congratulations on your success- Anyone from Massachusetts?
Hi I had Dr. Perugini at Umass also. Great experience and no problems with anything. I was sleeved in Dec. 30 '14. I feel great! I live in Central MA also . How are you feeling? Nice to see someone from this area!Lisa Hi Bellabill, You're the first person I've come across on here that has had Dr. Perugini. Isn't he great!? I live 10 mins from Umass, I'm in central mass too. I am glad to hear how good you're feeling! I am exactly one week post op and feel good as well. I have a lot of pain where the deep muscle stitch is on the upper left side. Did you have that? How long did it last? If you don't mind telling me, how has your weight loss been going? I am down 10.2 lbs since surgery, which I assume that pace will not last that long lol. You're right its so great to find someone from the area! That is so cool we had the same surgeon! Yes, I had the same pain on th left side. It will go away after 4 weeks or so. I am almost 3 months and I virtually feel nothing! My weight loss so far is 45 pounds. I wish it were more! Overall, I feel great ! I am just going keep going.... I live in Holden not far from Umass. My husband and I work there. Actually, I am in disability through the job because of my bad knees. Had to have WLS so I can have knee replacement so now I'll see ortho surgeon in a couple of weeks! I just want all this done so I can go back to work!!! Ok, any questions let me know. Lisa- Does anyone drool?
I don't have nausea or feel sick at all. It could be my cheeks are changing and sagging! It's not a constant thing but I dont recall wiping the sides of my mouth to often...- Does anyone drool?
I am 2.5 months out and I am catching myself wiping the sides of my mouth...it's so weird. Is it because my cheeks are getting smaller, more saliva build up as I wait to drink water? So am I the only one?- Just Decide
It's a major life decision. Getting the sleeve has helped me in so many ways. This is a life change and it's not so bad. It will help you fight the demons and may you find yourself happier with this gradual change. I am a happier person with so much awe as I keep losing weight.- Anyone from Massachusetts?

Walk a round which will help get rid of the junk in the lungs. Common after surgery. They should give you a spirometer.- December Sleevers
Dec 30th I was sleeved. 42 lbs. gone! I had a few stalls a long the way.- Are the drains painful?
Not everyone gets a drain... You may be one of the lucky ones.- What the H*LL happened to you?!

Sleeved 12/30.. Surgery day 312 and now is 275. I am making better efforts with water and weighing foods. I hope to see a significant drop soon!!!- Any December 30th Sleevers ?!
I am trying to curb the grazing. A taste of this and that can lead to other bad habits. It's not always so I am being cautious of what goes in my mouth. Thank God for the fitness pal which really helps with regulating calories. I am also getting back into weighing my meat.. 4 oz can easily become 6--8 oz.- Any December 30th Sleevers ?!
How is everyone doing so far? 2 months now! I have had some trial and errors. Sometimes I go over my 800 calorie a day...needing to tighten the reins. Managing proteins and water can be a challenge! I hope I am not the only one?- Incision pain. Abdominal pain
Sleeved 12-30 and this all normal. It takes time to heal and will feel better soon. Hang in there.- How old are/were you?
Newly 50 on DOS...10 years prior I was looking into it. I did not want the RNY so thank goodness the sleeve was available.- My how the face will change!
Looking great! Keep it going...what a difference ????- 4 days post op....
Congratulations on your surgery! I remember you in your preop phase. You will feel better soon. The full feeling is more dramatic in the beginning cause tummy is swelled up but once it's less inflamed a different kind of full feeling will come. Hang in there!!! Best of luck!- Sleep patterns are way off (wide awake!)
Dolores, I am laughing at the heating pad on your feet cause I do the same thing! My feet can't get warm and the heating pad works! The wool socks don't work! - My name is Matt and I just got a gastrc sleeve done
