PLEASE! Quick answer for cough post-op!

People ... I need ideas.... I had sx Monday March 9th in TJ Mx.... love dr. Vazquez and gang... only pain was PCOS related... tonight I sit in my hotel room unable to sleep because I can't stop weezing and coughing... my hubby, bless him walked to the pharmacia and bought an albuterol inhaler... no I am not asthmatic... then we called the dra. And she had a Mexican musenex delivered to the room ... it has helped me to breath better but I can't lay down and sleep ... hot green tea soothes it for a min... so does ice chips ... but with the sleeve i can only drink so much... this girl needs sleep AND has an 8 hour + flight home on Friday. ... any ideas?

Hold a pillow really tight over your stomach when you cough that should help with the pain as far as meds I don't know anything about Mexican medications so I can't help with that...sorry

Hey I just noticed we are Mo neighbors! Have a safe trip home :)

Was your doctor at all concerned about pneumonia? It can happen after surgery. Did she have you using an incentive spirometer before and after surgery?

I hope you are feeling better! I have been waiting so impatiently for you to Blog :) I am ready to hear all about it!! :) Truly I hope you feel better and get some rest!

Rachel

Walk a round which will help get rid of the junk in the lungs. Common after surgery. They should give you a spirometer.
