I'm in New a york City visiting my son for Christmas. I made the mistake of not trying on clothes before I left. The pants I brought are all falling off me! Who hoo!

I don't like solid foods and I'm 7 weeks postoperative. I don't get the same pleasure from eating like I used to. I get uncomfortable quickly too.

I'm a slow BMIer and 63. I've lost 20 lb in a little over 6 weeks! I feel great. My goal is 55 lb.

I went on a 4 day vacation to Santa Fe with friends. We went out to eat the whole time. I thought I would have gained but actually lost 1.5 lb! I'm so excited!

I've had it since I was one month out. No issues at all!

I'm having trouble posting my topic so if it's entered twice you'll know why! I'm 6 weeks post op and was able to eat a whole taco including the shell. No upsets. I would think that would be too much food. Comments?

Mine was 25 minutes. My surgeon has done over 6500 sleeves!

Today I am wearing a sweater I haven't been able to get into for 3 years! It is so exciting!

I've lost 18 lb at 6 weeks out. I'm 63 and had a low BMI. You're doing great!

I hadn't looked at it that way, almost 3 lb a week. That's encouraging! 5'4 Sw 184 CW 167 GW 135. BMI 31.8

Dr. Alvarez is the best! Even if my insurance would pay, I would go to Dr. A.

I was 184 and got the sleeve. I just kept gaining before I got it done. I'm 63 and am losing slowly. 6 weeks out and have lost 17 lb. I would do it again though!

I was sleeved 10/24. BMI was 31. Have lost 14 lb and am 63. I think I'm a slow loser. Only 1 lb lost last week.

I was a BMI of 31 with 50 lb to lose to be at a great weight. I'm one month out from surgery and have lost 13 lb only. I guess I'm what they call a slow loser. I'm following the program completely. I thought I would have lost more. I'm also 63.

I was sleeved in October 25, 2014. I've only lost 12 lb and have experienced the 3 week stall as well. I am 63 and am a low BMI (31). I'm doing everything right, getting in my Water and Protein, low carbs, and calories are between 500 and 700. I'm exercising too (walking). I guess I'm what you would call a slow loser!

I've only lost 12 lb in the first two weeks, then stalled for 10 days. Then lost another 2 lb in a week. I think I'm a slow loser. I'm 63 and a low BMI to begin with.

I was really scared but the thought of carrying around this weight overrode my fear. I kept coming to the boards and saw very few complications. I had my worries until the day of surgery. But I went through with it!im so happy I did!

I've been in a stall for 9 days which started in week 3. I have a low BMI and have only lost 12 lb plus I'm 63, how long will this last?

Dr. Guillermo Alvarez does. He's wonderful and the care is awesome!
-
I lost 6 lb my first week and 6lb the 2nd. I haven't lost for 3 days. I'm 63!

Sleeved 10/25/14. 10 lb lost and am now in a stall. I had a low BMI to start with so I'm not losing as fast as some of you. I'm also 63!
Tough Tome Eating!
in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

I'm 2 month's post op. Went to New York over Christmas. I had a terrible time eating out. I my son took me out for lobster which I thought would be fine. I. Felt sick for nearly two hours. Will it always be like this? He doesn't know about the surgery so it was really difficult. Advice please?
