    I hear yah and I would have done the same thing myself LOLOL Thats like when you make Mock Fried Rice, you have to grate the raw cauliflower. I made a batch of that last week and put to much soy sauce in it... blech.... can you say GROSS !!! Next time I make it, NO SOY SAUCE, maybe a sprinkle of salt and olive oil. LOLOL

    Good Morning, Betty, well heart healthy is what we all want to be... isn't it ? LOLOL He promised if you followed his diet you'd lose 10 lbs in the first two weeks and 1 lb there after. I could follow some rules but not all of them. I think thats a way of eating you must be trained on early in life. Besides, I'm just to tarted to follow anything but my nose sniff sniff :bananajump: Darcy, I'm so sorry to hear about FIL and all that his boys are going thru. Not only does it break their hearts to see him like that but I can tell in your post that the effect of this man goes farther than just his sons. Its also breaking your heart seeing his sons go thru this. My prayers are with you and keep walking chickie... don't stop !!!!!! Sherry, that recipe sounds so good and I like it that its easy and has simple ingred. I hate when a recipe calls for something funky and you only wind up using it once. THANKS !! Nothing happening here goilies... sosdd. I did good eating yesterday but need to get a little better with the night time ... "gotta eat something sweet before bed" thingy. Even though its fat free pudding... I really don't NEED it. Anyway..... I'll be back later (i hope LOL). Luv Yah's

    Thanks for the recipe YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMY I make home made cole slaw and instead of sugar I use a few packets of splenda. Nobody can tell the difference I also use celery salt instead of regular salt but I've never tried it w/onion... ohhhhhh lala

    I did this: week 1 - 2 clear liquids week 3 thicker liquids week 4 mushies week 5 solids I did stick with it b/c I was so afraid of hurting myself. It was so hard the first 3 weeks but I figured I had gone this far

    Always check with your doctor first Okay that said, I would say any clear soup drained would be okay.

    Good Afternoon, I'm leaving work a bit early to register my DD for school this september...its a different school (she is in private right now). Other than that, sosdd. Sherry... oh do tell the recipe. Betty... boss is out... I'll prob find out about the job next week or so. Deb... good luck with the job !!! and i'm sorry to hear about the car. Hope everyone is okay. Kattttty, good luck buying a new PC. I hate buying bit ticket items like that. When ever an electronic is purchased in my house DH takes care of it b/c I suck. I always wind up buying a lemon. Glad DH is home Dianne.... how are things dolly ??? Cindy, 2000 steps = 1 mile... COOL wonder if I even do 2000 in a day. Here's the info I took from the PBS show I watched... not exact but you get the point. Betty, I just watched You on a diet... PBS special: The doctor did a good job.. parts of it were gross when he showed actual body parts (no Beanie.. its not what your thinking) He showed a real liver and a fatty liver and other icky stuff. Amazing. He had some folks on his show that lost like 30 lbs. I was kinda hoping I'd see some one who has lost like 80+. One of the things he really stressed was walking 30 minutes a day, every day. He also had "Action Steps," 25 of them to be exact..... here's some of what he said.....(not perfect but you get the picture). 1. Measure yourself (around the waist and at the bellybutton), the idea womans waist should be approx 32 1/2" 2. Walk 30 min a day/every day 3. Dump the frig.... no simple sugars, get rid of any grain but 100% whole grains, no flour (enriched, bleached) no sat fats or trans fats, avoid all white food cept egg whites, cauliflower. 4. Automate Choices (prepare foods ahead, this helps keep you on track) 5. Walk 30 minutes a day (he likes this one I guess or I got it wrong LOL). 6. Go food shopping.... veggies, 100% whole grains, cinnamon.etc. 7. Invest in a good 8" knife...makes it easier to prepare veggies, etc. 8. Prepare yourself before you start anything 9. Regroup your team... meaning your doctors, support, etc. 10. Never be hungry 11. Its okay to make mistakes..just make a U turn....don't beat yourself up. 12. Eat healthy fats 20 - 30 min b/4 your meal 13. I think this one was 13.... ?? build muscle... 3x week for 20 minutes...muscle strengthening. 14. Do the U on a Diet workout daily... they showed some chick exercising at a beginners level... it looked pretty good and doable. 15. Vitamins and Minerals VEDDDDY important. 16. Fish oils should be taken unless your eating 13 oz of fish a week. 17. coffee is good for you unless you have certain health issues, also alcohol (a few oz) LOL 18. Fix fast food dishes and have them ready for you..... Also eat low cal dressing not low fat. GET TO KNOW YOUR FATS (((again he stressed good fats))) 19. Get a good pair of running shoes and socks (not cotton). 20. Make a dr. appt and get your vitals 21. Brag.... when all this starts working for you .... brag to your friends so they can learn too. 22. Grade yourself A, B, C.... ????? 23. Restock your kitchen 24. Learn what whole grains really are.. ... Bran, endosperm, germ... always get 100% whole grain... stay away from grain blends. 25.. Teach a friend. Thats about it girls.... I"ll talk to you later Luv yah's

    For those of you who like Tuna Fish

    I love tuna... this is how I make mine. I usually eat it with crackers (Ritz) or in my salad. Tuna - chunk light or white (rinsed and drained very well) Hellmanns Mayo (aka BestFoods) http://www.mayo.com/ Chopped very very fine: onions, celery and carrots Chopped apple Cranberries (the ones that are dried like raisins) :myscared:

    I was not on a liquid diet before the band and on one for 4 weeks after. I'm well past a year with my band and the only thing thats changed with my eating is that I have to eat slow and chew well. Everything else is pretty much the same :myscared:

    Good Morning, NJLoser, good to see you. I'm guessing after your fill you did mushies and now your eating normal? If thats the case then you can eat anything really. What my doc told me to do is Protein first, then veggies and then good carbs (((now if ONLY i'd follow that lol))). I would just eat what ever you can tollerate, make sure your taking a good Vitamin and try to drink lots of Water. ... oh yeah... the "E" word ..... sigh... LOLOL just kidding, don't forget Exercise (((ok there, I said it))). Beanie congrats on the lb down WHOOT!! I've been stuck foreverrrrrrrrr. Lucky girlie gets to go on vacation...are you going anywhere or ya just hanging? Yes a promotion b/c one of the ladies here is retiring... it would mean traveling for me and well...i've never been in a plane so I'm nervous about that part. But I'll be made Exempt and I'll get bonus at the end of the year WHOOT! (((hopefully)))) we haven't talked details b/c my boss is out ((yes its the same boss)). From Kats wacky fence hitter to Dianne and Darcy I'm just going to sit back and say a prayer for our little group today and that March is the start of some good stuff happening here. God is Good !!! I'm okay, went to the doc, got Fluid in the ears, dizzy, snot pouring like you wouldn't believe, coughing... the whole 9 yards... got meds so I'll be bouncing again real soon :scared: (((now thats a wicked thought))) Low carb is going okay, I'm staying away from breads and pastas, stuff like that. TOM is coming so its getting harder and harder LOLOL My boss is putting me in for a promotion aka job change.... so lets see if i get it. More work yes.. more stress yes... but I"m ready for a change I think LOLOL Ooops gotta run kids.... TTYL

    Hi Kiddies, Cindy, good to see you and good luck with the new job proposal Betty, I have a great raw broccoli salad recipie that has bacon and red onion in it. Its the only way I can eat raw broccoli. I'd like to see the one you made Cold Broccoli Salad 1/4 - 1/2 Pound Cooked Pork Bacon, crumbled (depends on your taste) 1 head fresh raw broccoli, cut into bite size pieces (I used only the flower part) 1/4 cup red onion, chopped 3 tablespoons white Vinegar 6 - 8 Pks Splenda (depends how sweet you like it) 1 cup mayonnaise 3 Tablespoons Light Cream 3 Tablespoons Water 2 Tablespoons Bacon Fat 1 Teaspoon Salt Mix all ingred together and then pour over broccoli, refrig over night and enjoy next day. Kat sorry your house is a wreck...especially after all that hard work you did. People S-U-C-K !!!! My Inlaws do the same thing, they are not mean people but they congragate to one side of the room and don't mingle with anyone else.... (hate that but you can't change them ya know).     Hi Kiddo's, Well food is made for my low carb week..... we shall see. I made some mock fried rice, egg muffins (breakfast), coleslaw and acorn squash for the side dishes and I'll make some fish, ckn burgers for dinners. I am eating to many carbs...triggering me wanting more and more carbs.. so I'm crossing my fingers that I can even do this at all. Other than that, my sore throat is still here... about a week now, and I'm just not feeling up to snuff...dizzy and weird. So... I'll go to the doc this week if it doesn't stop. Bitch bitch complain complain moan moan LOLOL !!!!!! snort ~ Soooooooooooo whats everyone up to this week? any plans? any commitments?
