How about an exercise board Alex? A place where people can post questions about different activities / exercise / dvd's / etc?
-
Thats the DVD I suggested you get while you were looking for your treadmill. Its Leslie Sanson and she has a 1, 2 or 3 mile dvd that's pretty good. It simulates walking (your kinda marching and moving) and when your done with each video its equivalent to 1, 2 or 3 miles.

I have found for beginners, the Richard Simmons DVD's and the Leslie Sanson Walk Away The Pounds are wonderful !!!

I was snarving (not starving, SNARVING LOL) the second my eyes opened after surgery. Your hungry because you need food and its totally normal. Hang in there. At this stage, you should not worry about WL, you should concentrate on healing, so if your hungry EAT!!! just be careful and follow doctors orders. HUGS !!!!

Darcy I'm glad the pup is feeling better... our golden retriever was on steroids all her life, she lived to about 10 and we made her as comfortable as possible. She was a happy dog even on the roids. Congratulations !! I'm with the girls here, rest up and take it easy. If you over do it you may do more harm inside than you know, plus you'll create scar tissue that will cause you lots of trouble and pain down the road. Go easy for a few weeks. Welcome to bandland

You know whats a pretty decent start out DVD, Walk Away The Pounds, its about $25 - $30 and it simulates walking without leaving your home. I know lots of people who really like it. I'm pretty sure Walmart sells them. There's 1, 2 or 3 miles. This maybe a place to start until you can find your treadmill. See....this is why we need an exercise board.

Here's one place that has them, they are very expensive but if you do a search on the web, maybe you'll find them cheaper. How about the classifieds in your local paper, some one might be selling one used and alot cheaper. http://cardiozonetreadmills.com/
