  2. 17 months post op. I fell off the wagon after losing 92lbs and plateaud 19lbs from goal for the last 7 months. I am ready to kick it back in gear. I am doing the c25k and I am on week 2 right now.

Jumping in late her but better late than never.

This week my miles for RUNNING are 6 Miles and biking 20.

  3. Congrats K that's so freaking sweet. It was hot here today so I really applaud you! it's 6:10 right now and I am waiting for it to cool off a bit before I make my run.

Today I am going to try and put on my big girl panties and do week 2 of the program. I don't use the podcast though I found a fun one that someone made on their own with hip hop.

Normally not a hip hop fan but it's dancy tunes and keeps me going.

  4. My first appt was being weighed in, measured, doing medical history with the nurse, Q and A session with the surgeon.

Then after that I was shuffled off to a dietitian who then explained all the changes in eating that would occur.

I went to a center of excellence and they have standards and procedures they have to follow so most of the appts were longer and consisted of meeting multiple people.

  5. Alot of us experienced that.

However, as sucky as it seems its a HUGE life changing event and they are making sure no one is rushing into it. We have all done our research yes but they have to cover themselves too.

While you're waiting do you plan to use insurance to pay? If so make sure you call the insurance and have them fax you the requirements and begin working on the list. If you have a 6 month diet requirement find a dietitian and start seeing them get the first appt out of the way.. Small things like that.

  6. Welcome Angie. Unfortunately some insurances have an exclusion clause. In this case many times they never pay... It doesn't hurt to keep submitting though.

If you have to become self pay there are many surgeons out there that will do it for 10k.

I have my fingers crossed for you that insurance pulls through!

  7. Hello and welcome to lbt tele.

Unfortunately for me yes I have been overweight more than 5 years. My insurance required 5 years.

Suzkelly that is very normal that they require you to complete a 6 month diet. Let's just say I was less than enthuastic about it. I just went to see a dietitician 1 time a month for 6 visits and I lost 4lbs total lol. My insurance accepted that as an attempt. I think it's just a hoop they want you to jump through.

  8. Beth I am sorry you're dealing with that. I have a short attention span for a guy that doesnt hold his own.. No offense but thats my opinion.

Like Lulu I am very blessed to have someone that makes sure I am taken care of at all times. I am thankful every single day and sometimes feel like I can't give back as much as he gives but I definetly try.

  9. Congrats Mcrowder! Oh and welcome back Glou.

Well I did my 2nd run of week 2 last night... But I am also redoing week 1. I made it through like a champ!

I am running every other day instead of 3x a week to keep a schedule and motivation goin. SO that gives me either 1-2 more runs this week with the same regimen. I am gonna do 1 more and see how I feel about moving on.

  10. i drink large quantities of wine.....:blushing:

nah - i don't get myself worked up too much about what i don't have control over. i know the end is near, love the results of upstairs (had a kitchen built up there - so not freaked too much) .... just exercise patience - oh and the wine:)

SEE!! I am telling.......... It's her large consumption of wine that's gonna land me in the pokey!

But we won't take my consumption into question. Just smile and wave boys...Smile and wave
