i can honestly say i did not feel any pain at all. i felt pressure thats all. so relax.

i have bcbs insurance and pcos is considered a comorbidity.

i would ask your doctor to test your blood sugar. sometimes it goes out of wack during pregnancy and causes sudden extreme hunger and thirst.

i have 3 dogs right now sleeping around me. but i still remember where i was standing and what i was wearing when my father told me he had to put to sleep my first dog. and that was 39 years ago. they are family. eventually the sadness fades and you remember the good times. i do hope that when the time is right you will get another dog. there is nothing like them. sometimes when i'm stressed i say to myself i can't wait to lay on the couch tonight with the dogs and i feel the relief. you are in my thoughts.

all of you that are in a panic, your fears are a waste of energy. the operation to me was no more painful than a trip to the dentist. and afterwards you get the rewards for your efforts. you will not be sorry. i don't know anyone who is.

i have 1.75cc in a 4cc band and i am tight. it just goes to prove that everyone is different. if you have no restriction by all means get a fill. once you reach your sweet spot you stay that way for quite a while. dont worry how much fill you have. keep going until it feels right. otherwise you are going to get depressed and give up.

the people who told you losing weight won't make you happy never had to worry if they were going to break the chair they were sitting in. i'm ecstatic!!!!!

i too was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and on insulin 3 times a day. lap band surgery was no more of an ordeal than going to the dentist. i could not believe i had surgery. and i am off my insulin. and i can not even begin to describe how much better i feel. the lap band is a life saver, grab it.

bcbs of new york. no problem approved right away.

i would go to a different doctor. one foul up with any doctor is one too many. no second chances, as far as a doctor goes. your experience was totally unacceptable and there is no reason why you should take it.

i think both parties are a really nice and thoughtful idea. does anyone remember on "I Love Lucy" when Lucy was pregnant the guys threw Ricky a party? and each of the guys brought a bottle of liquor. lol

i told anybody who would listen to me that i was having surgery. but i did not ask for their approval or give them the opportunity to give their disapproval. it was my choice of what to do with my body to get myself healthy. i say go for whatever works.

i know you are going to look at my age and say why is this 52 year old bag answering this question. its because i have been losing and gaining weight since i was 17. yes, the weight does come off quicker and easier when you are young, and your skin goes back much better. take full advantage of this surgery, you will succeed as long as you put effort into it.

you can buy it online at OPTIFAST - North Star Medical Weight Management - Optifast Online Program, OPTIFAST, liquid diet, OPTITRIM, optisource, Pre-Post BARIATRIC and get smaller quantities and mix it up. i have gotten it from there before.

good job, what a wonderful achievement!!!

i think you hit the nail on the head when you said that the teen is bored. too much idle time is no good for the mind. if there is no job that he can get then have him volunteer somewhere. he needs to be busy to keep himself out of trouble.

go for it! a new job, and new shape, you're headed in the right direction. talk to your doctor at nyu about your money concerns for the fills. he may arrange something for you, like include the first couple of fills with the price of the surgery. my doctors at montifiore are so dedicated and wonderful to their patients, i'm sure the ones at nyu are also.

i live in new york also. perhaps you can contact medicaid and explain that you are having lap band surgery that will require follow up care. ask if they can extend your medicaid.

i have taken phentermine in the past and noticed that it worked best stop and go. if i took it too many days in a row i found that it made me anxious. i would search my face for a possible pimple to squeeze etc... i am for whaterver works, but if you notice yourself feeling anxious stop the pills until the feeling goes away. because anxiety sucks. and these pills can bring it on.

a second opinion for any surgery is the smartest thing to do. then research both surgeries yourself and decide which one you prefer for yourself. i wouldn't bash any weight loss surgery that worked for that person. because being obese is the real killer.

he should take the same medicine that you took, that dyflucan.

i once had one that went on forever. the only thing that finally killed it so it wouldn't come back was a prescription vaginal cream. i don't remember the name because it was a while ago, but that did it. i had tried the yogurt, vinegar and garlic. i think these things are good to do once its gone, to ward off a reoccurance. but to kill a really stubborn one sometimes you need a prescription cream like i did. good luck, i know that it's a torture when that itch is down there.
