1. 8/13 was one year for me. HW 365. SW 363. Current weight 238. I started running in November right when I got under 300lbs and wanted to run at least one 5k by the end of 2015. I have ran 12 of them so far and now I love to run. I find that I eat more on days when I run than days when I don't. I am still 18lbs away from my goal weight but the dr says I am doing just fine and to remember that it has still only been one year. Happy anniversary to all the other August sleevers.!!

  2. Awesome to see everyone's progress. I was sleeves 8/13/14. Day of surgery weight was 363. As of today I am at 259 for a total drop of 104lbs in a short 7 months. My waist size dropped by a foot. I started jogging and have never felt better in my life. 36 more lbs to my goal weight.

Can't eat mashed potatoes but that's about it. I don't consume any carbonated products and fried foods have been pretty non existent and honestly, I don't miss either. Wish I would have done it sooner. Good luck to everyone!

  3. Kelly I completely understand. I feel the same way. Toughest part is synching up the mind and stomach. I eat every 2 hours on average. It's not so much that I can't eat a lot but more my amazement at how much I used to eat and not think about it. My son is 11 and my wife is 40 and both are not overweight and both can eat more than me. It's a little frustrating but i am glad I'm restricted. My dr said that I will be able to eat more after about 6-8 months and to use this time to get the mind and body in sync

  4.
@@Mike098 keep on kickin' ass Mike. great work. how was your immediate recovery? nights in hospital, pain, sleep, etc.... curious because I am going under the knife on sept 10.

My surgery was in the afternoon around 3:30pm. I spent one night in the hospital. They pretty much bother you all night. Blood pressure, check up on you etc. lots of IV fluids. Indefinitely advise walking when u can. Once I got 4oz of Fluid down in an hour I was able to go home. I had limited pain, just a little tenderness around the belly button really. sleeping was a little tough the first few nights, I slept on my back and couldn't really lay on my side too much. That goes away after about day 3. I never filled my prescription for pain med but everyone is different.
