Its been a while since I posted. I been on the phase 3 soft foods for over a week now. Is it only me that only eat maybe once a day approximately 4-6 bites, and a Protein Shake. Is that normal?

Quick 1 week post op update.... I had surgery 9/3. Since then I have little to none pain. If it is then its the left side of my abdomin where the stomach was taken out. I have lost 9 lbs from the day of surgery until now. Total lost since my pre op appointment is - 20 lbs. Im not having much of an appetite at all. I have a craving for Gummy candy, fruit, and chicken fajitas! Its still hard to get all 60 gm of Protein in im only able to get in 30 gm from a Premier Protein shake if that. Any suggestions on how to get all the necessary protein in?

I had my sleeve done on September 3. I would love a buddy.

Hi! I am Stephanie and I was sleeved on Wednesday, September 3, 2014. I feel great today...it is my first full day home from the hospital. I am getting my Water in, but my Protein is another story. Every time I drink anything I feel these bubbles and then I burp. Maybe I am drinking too much at a time?

My doctor is Bernie Hanna at Las Vegas Bariatrics and I had my surgery at North Vista Hospital. My post-op visit is on Thursday, September 11th.

We were sleeved on the same day! The protein is doing the same to me. I tried a spoon full of sugar free Jello and it was too sweet for me. Im a little scared to try a Soup I dont want to throw up.

Day 2 post op... still a lot of gas and a little nausea. Pain has subsided some but still uncomfortable when laying down or trying to get up out of chairs. On phase 2 full liquids but I been doing mostly clears and sipping on a Protein Shake throughout the day.

Surgery yesterday. Pain pretty low. But my bp is low now.

I had my sleeve done yesterday. There's quite a bit of upper left sided pain when first waking up and going to the restroom. Lots of gas trapped in the back and under the ribs. Pain does get better as the day goes on. Welp heres to the start of my new body!

Hi Everyone - My sleeve is set for Sept 16 and I just started my liquid diet today. Wondering if everyone's is the same. 4 Protein drinks/day (minimum 16 grms. of Whey Protein, under 150 calories, about 10 1/2 oz./SF Jello, SF popsicles, broth, and all kinds of green veggies - raw or cooked, no oils. If yours are the same - what brands of whey protein are you having? My doctor's office is closed today, but does anyone know if you can have different flavors of extracts - like banana, vanilla, etc? I'm in Michigan and Dr. Matthew Weiner is my doctor. So far, I have had one shake - the unjury vanilla mixed with almond mile - unsweetened vanilla. Not bad. Yes, it is great to have support, since we're all around the same time. I wish all of you good luck (including myself)!

Im super excited but nervous. I start my clear liquid diet and Miralax prep tomorrow and surgery weds! I hope everything goes ok as planned. I did cheat on the 2 week diet with chicken breast and veggies but did do the Soup, shakes, sugar free Jello, and increased my Water intake dramatically! I haven't lost much weight though but have lost some. I think its because I was taking in to much Protein (or constipation...I know TMI)... Good luck to all the Sep 3rd surgeries!

I'm on day 7 of my pre op diet and haven't seen much weight loss only a few lbs. Is this happening to anyone else?

I officially started my pre-op diet starting at midnight.....So far since I'm working 3rd shift all I have had is a Preimer Protein Shake- chocolate and a bottle of Sparkling Ice.... Does anyone know if the Sparkling Ice Zero Calories drinks allowed in the diet? Its 0 calories, 0 fat, 0 carbs, 0 caffeine, 0 Protein, but has Vitamins and green tea extract.

Hello all I'm new here! My name is Krystle; I am currently scheduled for my Gastric Sleeve on Sept 3rd. I'm excited but very, very nervous especially about the 2 week Protein liquid diet that I have to start on the 20th. Does anyone have any tips on getting through this?
