  1. I was banded on aug 14. Going through the same thing. My dr mentioned the hunger issues stop after about the 4th fill. Today was my first fill and I'm back on liquids then mushies for the week. I found a few specific savory meals help a ton. Fresh and easy sells these Hawaiian turkey burgers I eat by themselves but I have to chew them to mush. The other night my fiancé made ground turkey in spaghetti sauce instead of noodles we had spaghetti squash, I threw a scoop of fat free cottage cheese. I could hardly move I finally felt full and are the correct portion. Also I noticed if I'm not eating very much Protein the hunger increases. Walgreens sells these two gulp Protein Shots that are 30grams!!!!!. If I have one of those 30 min before dinner I think I trick my body. Helps immensely. I also hit a weight loss issue. I've stopped at 17pounds. He said after my fourth fill I will really start to notice a change. Good luck

  2. My doctor allowed chicken breast, turkey breast and can tuna in Water twice a day and I had no limit on my Protein Shakes. I bought a turkey breast from Safeway and threw it on my smoker. It was nice to nibble on throughout the day and tasty enough to distract me from temptation.

I also created the best chicken breast recipe my dr said was ok during preop.( I would still check with your before taking any ones advice.)

Chicken breast 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar 1/4 packet italian seasoning. Marinate over night and throw on the grill. I suggest makes several days worth.

  3. My papers also said I should wait till week two for mushy.... However, I called my doctor and she said if I can tolerate then I can do mushy because I was going to chew my arm off. I try not to do mushy but more puréed.. It goes down better. However, I do one spoon of puréed and I feel full. I am 7 days post-op.

Where you still bloated and gassy when you started the mushy phase? What was your first mushy food?

  4. Day 6 since I've been banded. I went back to work today and it feels like my stomach is eating it's self. I see some people started the mushy phase 1 week post op. I was curious when everyone else started their mushy phase. My post op paper work says I can start mushy phase 2 weeks post op. I'm drinking all the Protein Shakes I can Handel at this point. I will do what I'm told by my doctor but I'm very curious.

  5. I agree with the Protein shakes. I found changing them up helps. I like to make sugar free pudding with a scoop of no flavor Protein in addition to the recipe on the back of the box.

I have one of those personal blenders one of my fav Protein shake is one scoop plan no flavor protein. 1/4 packet of sugar free banana pudding milk. Leave in the fridge for 5 min and it's like pie filling.

I make a killer chocolate one too. Scoop chocolate protein teaspoon of plan coco powder milk and 1/4 packet of sugar free pudding.

I bought Isopure "banana orange pineapple" protein at high health and well it's awful. I use one scoop of it Water and fruit punch crystal lite

    These usually make 2 servings.

I want to a Peanut Butter chocolate one. They sell Peanut Butter flavor at my dr office I want to try.
