  1. I waited until surgery day to ask this question and the nurse said well don't shower until you see the surgeron so I didn't ..... come to find out I could have showered all along . My advice is to ask the doc on your appointments prior to surgery as to his/her suggestion. Good luck!

  2. I had my surgery last December. I got "ill" for the first time since then with a sinus infection and a double ear infection. I feel much better, BUT have zero energy. I had pretty good energy before I got sick but can't seem to get it back. I'm tired all the time. A friend of mine said try Iron maybe I'm low on iron. Are there any other suggestions?:girl_hug:

  3. I was banded on that day. Since that day I have only lost 35 pounds and have been around the same weight for about 6 months. I have however lost 4 pants sizes the last one in just the last 6 weeks. So I went to the doctor last week and he said well if you are losing pant sizes that is good, no fill right now lets wait a month. I am a bit frustrated. I know I can eat too much, but I refuse to starve. I am eating healthy, just more then I should. I also know that I am in a marathon not a sprint... however I feel like I should be down at least 50 pounds at this point. How does one get a doctor to be more aggressive?

  4. Bandster hell I think they call it.

I went in for my two month follow up and the doc said, well you lost eight pounds lets not fill you yet. Well the past week I can eat anything in pretty large quantites...sucks...I am so frustrated and I don't go back to see the doc for another week and a half.....

  5. It is on the port side actually - but I'm curious to why you would say not to worry about it on that side vs the other? You obviously know something I dont. hehe. Thanks for replying.

:) The doctor said to me that the muscles look sort of like strings on a guitar... and when they put the port in they stretch the strings out and it takes a couple of months for the strings to come back to their normal place and not to be "twingy" anymore.. my port side hurt or was "twingy" for probubly 5 weeks... Hope you are feeling better!

  6. I am sure that his has been asked before.

    But

What is the verdict on Curves? I kick my tail there (I really go to town for 30 minutes) but my nutrtionist said that I should be doing 45 minutes... has anyone done just curves and been successeful?

  7. My surgery was December 17th so that makes me just over 5 weeks outs... I have had NO restriction for the past couple of weeks.... The only thing that I have really changed since my surgery is I have added exercise and am in week 3 of that..... the weird thing is I feel like I have more restriction then I did.... I'm not as hungry and things are not going down as easily... (they are still going down but I have to chew chew chew and eat super slow which I didn't have to do yet) anybody else experience this?

  8. I had my surgery December 17th and went back to school the 7th.... I am a band/orchestra teacher so my job is very physical.... I could have gone back after two weeks had I taken it easy.

I let my principal/assistant principal know I was having surgery and would be missing plenty of school in the fall semester because of pre-op stuff .. but I did not go into specifics.

    Good luck!
