    April 2010

I think that may be normal.:scared2: Our dates will be here before we know it. I tend to lose very slowly, so I am hoping that between the band and my working at it, that this 120+ lbs comes off steadily.

I am just still in disbelief but so so happy. When is your date?
  3. Good Morning Everybody......I will be hanging out here a little more now that the first hurdle has been crossed. BCBSIL gave me a fit but that over and on to the good stuff. I am hoping to be banded somewhere around March 18th. To actually lose more than the same 20 pounds, wow, I'm excited. Have a great day everybody....

    Approved after 14 months

No need to worry, my first 6 mos diet was not accepted because of the format of the progress notes. So, I had to do the 6 mos all over. It actually only took 8 days after the resubmission. I'm just thankful that I am approved now.

Dr. John Bagnato - Bagnato Bandits

Good Morning I was finally approved by BCBSIL on yesterday after 14 months of jumping through hoops. Hopefully, I'll be a Bagnato Bandit in March... Have a great day, everybody.

    Approved after 14 months

Yes, yes , yes....It's official, BCBCIL finally after I jumped through all of their hoops. Hoping for a March 18th surg date with Dr Bagnato.
  9. Hey DeeDee747..Congrats on getting banded.. How are you feeling? Yes, I'm in S. GA near Tifton. Who's your Doc? I'm using Bagnato in Albany. He's one of the best in GA.

I probably won't be banded until Nov 09 because BCBS of IL wouldn't accept the MD notes from my 6 mos diet. They rejected the facilities format so I had to start all over with another MD. Bummer, but it's coming. I was away and wasn't able to answer you sooner, sorry.

    Where are you located?

  10. Hey TFTF.....I'm taking a break from the road right now. DH is still out there. We were long haulers all 48 and Canada. I'm on visit 3 of the 6 mos MD supervised diet.

Thanks for shout out. I was away that's why it took me a minute to respond.

  11. I chose Doctor Bagnato in Albany, GA....Any mentors use him??? I am now waiting for the insurance company BCBSIL..Hoping to go for surgery right after finals....Meanwhile, I am wondering if I should stock up on anything? Any words of wisdom, and a hand to hold would be great. My DH is an OTR driver so he probably won't be here and we have no family here. My bff in New Jersey is hoping that she can get off and come be with me. Thanks for reading and any replies.

Hello! Calling all Georgians, anybody there?

Hello Good people....I'm in the Tifton area, about an hour east of Albany. I'm not banded yet, but soon hopefully. I want to go with Dr. Bagnato. Patty

Ideas: What do you do for yourself at each goal?

Great post. I'm not banded yet, but a few mini goal treats would definately involve Water parks, bathing suits and roller coasters. Maybe not in that order. One biggie treat would have to be an island resort somewhere in the Carribean. The reward for reaching goal, well I'll just have to think on that one. Patty

    Hi All

Hello Everybody My name is Patty, I'm 5'7" 270# and more than ready to start my journey. I drive OTR with my DH. No children. Trying to decide on a surgeon. I've narrowed it down to Dr. Ponce(N. GA) or Dr. Bagnato(S. GA). If there are any truckers here who wouldn't mind sharing their experience, I would love to chat. How long off? Any problems getting in/out of truck or problems dealing with the bumpy roads? Patty
