Getting the liquids in is no problem. Clear liquids for a week. My BIG problem right now is that my DH is cooking and I am so so hungry right now. I want something solid, but I know that I have to wait. Also, I have been in the bathroom for most of the day. I have nothing left in me:eek:. Oh well I see my surgoen on Thurs, hopefully I will be advanced to the next phase.. hang in there!!!

Thanks lunamiah. Congrats on getting your date. That happens to be my birthday, also. This morning is going well. I still have to get up out of the bed gingerly and no real tossing and turning while sleeping. I still have the burning sensation at the upper incision when I move too quickly, it's not unbearable but it is there. I went to KMart and to the grocery store on yesterday. No problems with the walking. My DH joked that now he can walk faster than me. I told him only until I am fully healed. While it's sunny out today, I may just go out and walk around the yard. Again, Good Luck to ya..Keep posting.

Sashay02 Sit back, let loose and enjoy your journey. What area of nursing are you in? Two people on my surgical team were bandsters and the conversations that we had really helped. Email me if you want to talk. I'm in nursing school right now myself. I will be in Sunny San diego in August for the Nursing Convention.

Well only half of the laundry got done. We did go to the 4:45 showing of Why Did I Get Married. Then over to Wally World. By then I was ready to come home. I just polished of a half cup of SF Jello. I'm just a little tired. My Hernia was pretty large also. My surgeon gave me a picture of it. I think that I'll just rest for the remainder of this evening. How is everyone doing?? Mamasugar?
  11. Yeah, I am feeling terrific. My surgeons office just called to check on me. The nurse was surprised that I was so up and cheery. I'm going to the movies this evening. I don't have very much pain. There is some discomfort at my upper incision. My doc puts the port up near the left shoulder. You can barely notice the incisons. I'm having no difficulties with swallowing. I will need to wear my bra's 24/7 for the next week or so.. I am very top heavy.

Do you do youtube videos? Are you near GA? Does your surgeon have a support group?

  12. Thanks for the friend request. How's it going for ya?

GNC pro performance powder vanilla flavor. You can mix anything in with it. Decent taste. They make chocolate but it doesn't mix well with fruits.

Thanks everybody...Right now my actual pain level is about 2-3 on pain scale of 1-10. I have not sipped on any Lortab in about 5 hours. I did notice that when I sit in the lounge chair no shoulder twinges. I got into the bed at around 8 pm and it was difficult getting comfortable..Not sure if I'll sleep in the chair or bed.. As far as hunger, I am not hungry just majorly thirsty. I have had lots of tea, 4 SF popsicles, Water, Powerade zero, 1 Protein shot (clear), 1/2 cup Jello. I have been walking around the house (mall style) every 2 hours. Throat still a little. I may suck on a halls or something. OK, DH has been a dream but you all will never guess what he did this afternoon. He baked a Mrs Smith's pumpkin pie. Had the entire house smelling absolutely devine...He was not thinking when that occurred, ya think? Ok..I am going to relax again. Any suggestions will be welcomed..Thanks for the questions and well wishes..
