ya know lil'froggy, i indulge a bit more on the wkend as well. my husband and i have a ranch & just about every wkend we have "guests" - friends or family that want a break from the city. i don't think of it as a bad thing, i workout hard & monitor my eating throughout the wk - that i might have an extra glass of wine or martini......on a sat night, tonite included:wink: i cook a lot, as well - and nobody can tell my healthy replacements. do you know how many sunday mornings i get up and do a quick run, while everyone is sleeping to balance out what i did?? lots, and that's how i look at the lapband, balance. i don't want to give up EVERYTHING, but realize portion control & exercise are key... don't beat yourself up at all!!!!!

Questions about mushies
luluc replied to travelinsnorkel's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i would add hummus to tuna salad, cottage cheese or eat alone...now i eat it w/veggies greek yogurt has more protein than the regular kind, no fat as well - you can find it at most stores & walmart now carries. -
Questions about mushies
luluc replied to travelinsnorkel's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i posted yesterday in a similar thread the following: mushie food: hummus greek yogurt egg drop soup FF refried beans/lf sour cream/salsa ricotta bake egg/tuna/chicken salad scrambled eggs cottage cheese these were great alternatives for me - with protein, as i really had issues w/protein drinks early out. -

that's a lot of training, i'm not good at evening workouts. if it doesn't happen first thing, i'm not likely doing it. i typically do the bike & running on the same day (most times), on cardio only days & really don't practice much of the swimming as i'm always in our pool and lapping it. i never counted it much as exercise - but that's just foolish because it is. the tri i'm doing jan 3rd is just that .5m swim/12k bike/3.1k running (swimming is indoors:wink:). like you i love mountain biking, DH and I were so fit before we married, and we were out doing trails several days a wk - both of us are anxious to get back to it. i think may is a great time frame to shoot for, while you still heal - definitely attainable. michee - i admire anyone that wants to run 18miles. wish i had that drive for running - i just don't:frown:
