was anyone else scared of dying from the general anesthsia? for some reason i am terrified! also do they intubate you?

GREAT ideas would be very helpful. i have tried calorie counting on my own to lose weight and i suck at it lol i stop tracking my calories. But i am bound and determined to do it.:whoo:

Im sure you will do great. I am nervous also and i dont have my surgery scheduled lol im still waitng on mu intial visit. I have alot or worrys...like will i wake up from the anesthesia? stupid worrys that im sure i will be fine. and you will be to!

what does the diet that you are supposed to be on about 2 weeks before the surgery to shrink your liver consist of? I heard its all liquids but exactly what did you have to do? Im thinkin i can start it now, im waiting for my initial visit.

i was wondering after the lap band can you sleep on your stomach? I am a major tummy sleeper... also whats the diet consist of that you are supposed to be on about 2 weeks before your surgery and does it really help you lose weight. cuz if so couldnt i just keep up with that diet instead?

My name is chasity and i have two daughters. One 7 yr old and one 11 mth old and i am married to there father. I just want to reintroduce myself cuz my last intro was short. I am considering the lap band becasue i am severly overweight. i already sent in my paperwork today, I am waiting for them to call me when they recieve it to make an appt for my intial office visit. I am scared and excited at the same time. I have alot of worrys. I am 23 yrs old and currently weigh 309 pounds. Im 5 foot 3 and my BMI is 54. YIKES!!! anyways im glad i found this forum.

what kind of med do they give you so they can do the lap band surgery? (like i had a spinal for my csection) and do you go to sleep or are you awake?
