Well I am getting sleeved tomorrow ... Arriving at the hospital at 5 am... Surgery at 8...please send any extra prayers my way... I have major anxiety... As a matter of fact a few close friends can't believe I'm even doing this... Since I freak about everything... But I am facing my fears to get healthly. I will keep you updated. Alyce

What does everyone know about the patch for nausea... My doctor ordered them for home if we need it... One patch lasts 72 hours and I am trying to see if I need it... It comes in a pack of three but the pharmacist will sell me one... My surgery is Wednesday august 27...was wondering if maybe Dramamine would the same thing ? Any feedback would be great... I'm getting nervous and excited ....

I need to arrive at the hospital by 7. im too anxious/nervous to sleep any longer. i keep having very odd dreams about the surgery, like deciding to go out to Breakfast before the surgery or sleeping too late and missing it. I have so many emotions coming up. im happpy and yet i feel alittle sad. maybe thats the am i making the right decision feeling. I know am, i kno all the pain i go through will be worth it even if it doesnt feel like it later today lol. if i can i will check in later today, and let you know how everything went!</p> <p> </p> <p>Good luck to everyone getting sleeved today, Here's to us!!!</p>

Well I survived! I was sleeved yesterday and Im home already! The being put under part was surprsingly easy. I dont even remember them doing it! I just woke up in recovering chanting to myself in my head "I did it, I did it!" lol Im really tred and have mild gas thats more annoying than anything. Im surprised at how much I do NOT want to eat. I never thought that woudl happen! Im struggling getting in Protein today. I'll be lucky to get in 10 grams! ugh

I'm like everyone else here, and I really appreciate that someone started a thread just for people on this date (or nearby)... I'm nervous and really looking forward to getting this done too. </p> <p> </p> <p>I have been doing OK on my pre-op Meal Replacement diet. I've had a little bit of head hunger, but it's not so bad. Pretty much I just have to go have another shake, or some broth, and I get through it. @alyce...Good luck to you as well!! I've been doing my liquid preop diet since 8/14...Protein shakes and Clear Liquids. It's not fun but I'm doing way better than I expected! And...I'm down 10 lbs just this past week What time is your surgery Wednesday? ? Mine is at 10...gotta be there at 8. WE GOT THIS!!!!!

you will never believe that my surgery is in the afternoon... I am so unhappy about it... I don't know what time I gave to report yet.. They are going to call me Monday ... Good luck to you... I had my last appointment yesterday ... I lost five pounds... Tomorrow I gave to pick up my meds I need to take .. Keep me posted !!!

I'm August 27th too!! Good luck to you. Are u doing preop liquid diet yet? I started it Wednesday and so far it's going surprisingly well!! We can do this

I am doing liquid shakes and a dinner... I know everything will go well... The waiting is the hardest...

I also take a Water pill which is part of my blood pressure meds and I am bring sleeved on august 27... I was told to take my meds in the morning and I will take them the entire time as usual

My surgery is Wednesday august 27... Had my last doctor visit today... Can I get some feedback on the pain pump... I was ok until she told me I can take it out at home . That freaked me out since it goes under the skin and it has to be pulled out. She did say I could come I to the office and have it taken out... How do I know if I am feeling better? I will be still getting pain meds through the pump. Thank you! I am nervous and excited!

Hi:<br><br> I am home. I got sleeved 2 days ago. I'm tired and without energy. I have little gas pains, but more pain by my incisions in my stomach. My shoulders feel great. It took awhile to "void" as what the nurses say. I would say PEE myself. Most of all, I'm glad it's over. I can't wait to feel better, stronger, and healthier. <br><br> I'm hoping in 5 days I'm back to normal. I will see tomorrow what the scale says.
