    Just curious

Just remember every doctor and NUT has their own recommendations. I love my salads and they digest perfectly for me. I add my protein to it. I'm 10 weeks out. My guy is perfectly happy with my balance. No one thing seems the same for everyone - talk to your medical team ❤️

I'm glad you brought the ring size up. I've been at a size 8 forever it seems - I only had a band since my original engagement ring was lost a long time ago. My hubs decided to size my finger and I'm exactly a 7. It was so cool to try rings on and have them actually fit. well ladies your time is coming and it'll be a forever ring bc you are never going back ???? I have to gush over my hubby of 10 years - our trip turned into an early gift to Celebrate my loss....I love these little perks of getting smaller ????

It's so funny that we all want something. For me I'm ecstatic I'm down to a 38 around but my cup size has changed none! I was so hoping it would shrink. Lol I know people think I'm crazy but a 38 G is ridiculous. I was a E cup even when I was a size 8. I can't wait to have them picked up off the floor and reduced in a big way ????

    OCTOBER 2014

That's my biggest thing looking at pictures....how did I convince myself I was happy and confident that size?! I'm so thankful I don't feel the need to sleep all day anymore. It's nice to be working toward a goal and seeing success even if it is a one pound at a time success.

I can't wait to be near goal. I too feel I'm at a crawl with loss...but hey it's not a gain! Thank you all for participating in my poll ????

    OCTOBER 2014

Ok all...I wanna take a poll...who has no desire to eat?! My best friend is 5 years out and still feels that way. It's such a chore I never feel hungry. Just curious if I'm in the minority ????
  10. Here's the thing. Every doctor and nutritionist have differing opinions just like everyone of us on this forum do. Some can be so set in their thoughts that they forget there are other perspectives, but I've found it all comes from the same heart. They just so badly want you to experience the great things they are. HOWEVER, the truth is surgery isn't always the answer. There are plenty of people who fail on it. It's a very personal choice and I for one chose without hitting rock bottom. Like I shared...I have PCOS and wasn't always overweight. I spent a year following doctors, nutritionists and personal trainers to only lose 15 lbs. All my hard work and honesty for so little was truly heartbreaking. I have a fantastic diet and exercise regularly - it took me 8 weeks after surgery not to regret it. I had severe nausea that was debilitating. I've had fellow patients go through severe negatives because of this surgery so the questioning is warranted. No one can tell you if its right for you. No one knows how your body will react. Co-morbities can present themselves differently in each patient which is why one can lose 70 lbs and I only lost 15 in a year. I myself had to walk away from forums several times because things I've said were taken the wrong way. I hope you listen to yourself and your heart. I went back and forth for 3 years listening to all sides of the argument. love, deanna
  11. you are me. I'm 9 weeks out. I had no other issues outside of PCOS (on the verge of diabetes). I have impeccable eating habits as well. Any more weight gain could have pushed me into a whole different territory. I wanted to be around for my kids like my eating habits show. Surgery has helped me lose almost 50 lbs in just 9 weeks. You have to be ready though and their is no shame in changing your mind. It's such a personal decision. I can say for me I thought I was happy and confident prior to surgery, but my actual weightloss has revealed something completely different. I'm truly finding myself now.
  12. I was appreciative to my dr about not having a pre op diet lol
  13. I'm a big believer of turmeric from joint pain to abscesses. Unfortunately my dr said no after surgery because it acts as a NSAID does. I'm on the fence about his opinion. You should definitely consult your doctor.

i have had a glass of wine a couple of times. I could only finish half before I was buzzed but overall fine. Won't make it a habit but sometimes it's nice to feel normal in a group.

    OCTOBER 2014

Thank you! I regret not measuring myself before surgery - I guess I could start now. I don't see the difference in the mirror so pictures help keep me on track. I think we all have this image burned in our memory and it's hard to overcome seeing things that aren't there. No one has mentioned my loss either nor has my size changed as much as I thought it would. I also didn't tell anyone except my husband and parents. I can't wait to get to that "oh my" stage. Maybe at 6 months? I know a lot of people that are in onderland by then and start losing sizes quicker with lower amounts of weight. Post the pics lady!

@@layknee I love Chloe and Isabel. Good choice. My best friend is a district manager of sorts (not sure her exact title) - she does very well. Good luck! I really wish bronxmerci would check in - if anyone hears from her please post it. My prayers are on overload right now. I think we should all start posting our fave meals for ideas. I know nutrition is different but it'll work. I'm not allowed to have any grains until 6 months out. So I'm jealous of those that can have crackers and such ....how crazy is that lol I'm in exercise craze right now and doing my best to eat bc I have no appetite so I'm in a severe stall. It'll break someday and I was prepared for it so I have to remind myself through pictures. I'm glad I took them. I'll share a comparison from 2wks out and now at 9 weeks out. I have a waist!

    Protein !:-(

I just want to add that whey isolate powders may be superior for protein but you have to listen to your body. I lived in a haze of nausea and vomiting until they finally agreed I was allergic to the whey itself. I've had to settle on a veggie protein that is slightly higher in carbs and sugar. I do fantastic now! At 9 weeks today I'm finally feeling good. It's such a trial and error process.

it doesn't hurt to try vegetarian sources for awhile. Just giving you an idea ❤️

oh salmon. It was such a painful experience. Tilapia is a great source though!

    OCTOBER 2014

im using spirutein. I will tell you it has higher sugar and carbs than my nut recommended - however I keep my daily totals in check. The sugars are natural in lieu of substitutes that also make me sick. I've lost 40 lbs and no nausea so I'm continuing to do what's good for me. The issue you run into with vegetarian eating is the capacity of food you have to eat to get the equivalent protein from meat - this is why my daily shake is so important. I do Morningstar farm grillers and edamame a lot. I'm in love and feel great now. I'm not anti meat for any other reason except how it makes me feel. Maybe one day it'll change but for now I'm good this way ❤️

    OCTOBER 2014

Just in case anyone is having similar issues.... I'm 8 weeks out and have had debilitating nausea and gas that stumped my doctors. I decided to go slightly against their NUT and have found relief. Early I found out I'm now lactose intolerant so I invested in whey isolates I could never get down. I made the correct assumption that I was indeed allergic to whey with an aversion to meat. I'm happy to report I'm nausea free and feeling great. I found a vegan shake that works and eat vegetarian while still getting everything required. I do enjoy fish when I can handle it as well. Meat isn't necessary and in my case was causing a lot of pain. We can succeed without it if you have similar problems like me. Starting to see that light ????

We are at the same stats. It's maddening that 40 lbs is only one size for us! I think it'll progress faster the lower we go though. Congrats on the loss!

    Ladies only pleasee

i have PCOS and had the exact same experience. It was horrible. It does pass and my second one wasn't as bad. I did question the dr about it though ????
  25. I'm 28 and down 40 as well. My dr swears what I'm seeing will go away. He said it gets worse before it gets better. Once near goal and weight training it'll be less noticeable. However, he told me from the beginning it all depends on how you carry your weight. I'm an equal opportunity gainer/loser. It's good for loose skin but sucks when it takes a lot of weight loss to lose sizes.
