I'm too a year out I'm approx 17 months out, I was at a stall for 6 months at 185.4 until I gotten a second desk job, the first week was a breeze as I was meal prepping my lunches but as soon as the reality of working two jobs that quickly faded, I was grazing all day on vending machine foods chocolate, chips, candy, and high calorie coffees just to stay awake, until one day, I stepped on the scale and realized in 3 months I've gainined 5.3 pounds i was livid seeing that scale go from 185 to 190.8 I thought well its not that bad so I continued, now I'm 193.4 and started going vegetarian Jan 1st as of march 1 I stop eating junk food and soon will turn vegan for I graze on cheese. This has not been an easy journey I need to lose 20-30 pounds to feel comfortable with myself so I totally understand your struggles, so its back to the basis for me!

Its approaching 1 year post op, how are you guys doing???
I need some input because after my 6 months everything slowed down.....I've slacked off tremendously, no exercise, no Protein shakes, no Vitamins, no healthy eating, no nothing ive been in a bliss for 5 months, even tho I haven't gained any weight, I haven't loss any either.
So as of September 1st I started from scratch, 3 days of liquid diet 3 days of pureed foods and started back going to the gym and focused on my Protein Shakes instead of grazing all day, so far 10 days out I've lost 3 pounds...its a start in the right direction. My overall goal is to be a healthy 150 I'll even be happy at 160...I'm currently 182.5 so I know I can do this! I just want to know have any of you made your goal weight as we are 1 year post op!?

This is so inspiring, I've too fell off the wagon.... July 1st was my 9th month post op and for the holiday weekend I was eating soft tacos and wine, so I've decided to get on the scale and it read I've gained 5 pounds!! it didn't help that I was on a stall for Four months, I was devastated.... I started doing the full liquid diet again and currently will be back in the gym tomorrow... I logged back in to this site for some motivation and glad I've found your post! Thanks a bunch

Thanks for all the suggestions I'm going to see my nutritionist tomorrow I just feel like I'm reverting back to old ways now that my appetite has pick up a bit.. No breads or pastas but just looking for something to eat every hour is annoying so I'll grab a yogurt or some lite cheese...but with doing that I'm not getting in my meals I might just start from scratch and go back to my liquid diet to start again.

Hello everyone's I'm about 10 weeks post open and I've lost a total of 45 pounds but how come I still see the fat girl in the mirror....I go to the gym every other day and spend an hour doing cardio and weight training on the areas I need worked on...
Yes I'm losing inches (I'm a sized 16 from 18) but still look in the mirror and I see no change...what do you do to keep being motivated... I'm starting to slack on my eating habits with grazing on pistachios and walnuts. I need some help

Do Anyone get hunger pains or is it stomach acid????....I've been having what seems like hunger pains for about 2 weeks now. It only occurs when I'm finished eating about 1-2 hours later....my surgeon gave me a Rx for acid reflux after surgery so I'm saying to myself I don't have heartburn so decided not to take it. Do I need this to eliminate this feeling??
-
I had that same problem at about 4-6 weeks post op....the pain was on the left upper back side...and moved down my left arm and hand...
the pain was so unbearable I went to my surgeon and he didn't seemed concerned....so I went to urgent care and the doctor diagnosed it as Radiculopathy.....a nerve damage in my spine, and suggested I go to physical therapy, I wasn't convinced, so I went to my PCP and she suggested physical therapy as well
one therapy session and the therapist said my C2-C4 spine nerves had no Fluid moving thru them so she basically stretched out my neck and gave me some exercises to do at home, and literally the next day the pain was gone!
I haven't had that pain in about two weeks so maybe try some neck stretches to loosen that spine column in your neck...if I make any sense..
Or just try your Pcp for a referral for therapy...it really works hope that helps

My favorite was wonton soup! I'm so over it now...but steamed shrimp or chicken and broccoli is good or they have mixed vegetables stir fried...I've always asked for steamed...they gave me so much veggies I had enough to last me a whole week.

Oh ok I understand! It just seems so much money! You've started the process already? How much longer do you have to wait for a surgery date?
October 2014 sleevers check in please!
